Grandmas Buttermilk Pancakes

In my last post I shared some of my favorite things about grandmas house. Well, She made pancakes every Saturday and Sunday morning and if grandpa was requesting them, his favorite was Belgian waffles with 100% real maple syrup. Mmmmmm.
So the recipe is great for waffles too.

Here is a yummy recipe for you!

First...Melt
1 cup of butter
Set aside and Let the butter cool.

Sift together all dry ingredients.
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp sugar

In a different bowl wisk together your eggs and buttermilk.
2 cups buttermilk
4 eggs

Add into your eggs and buttermilk, the cooled cup of melted butter.

Slowly add your dry mixture to the wet mixture. Use a wisk to mix the ingredients together.

If you ask me why to do the recipe this way, I am going to tell you because it is exactly how grandma made them...

Happy cooking. Hugs, Amy
