Inside Things and Outside Things...

I finished the cover of my Smashbook and it was a ton of fun! Here's how it turned out...
I used an Olivia the Piglet book illustration; plus some smash tape, an old jolee's daisy embellie and my all-time fave alpha stamps from Stampin' Up. The doodling was done with black and white sharpies.

Inside the front cover I attached a clear 8x8 Scrapbook page that I cut down to size, along with some sock monkey scrapbook paper...
I'm using the pocket to hold a few tidbits that may come in handy when I'm filling in the book. Smash notes, tags, tickets & rub on letters.

I've also started a new art journal. I posted this page before when I hadn't journaled on it yet. Here's the finished page...

the next spread is reflective of the Jackson Browne concert. Another fave lyric...

The difference between these two journals - in my mind, is that the Smashbook is about "outside things," such as events, places, fun times, things I did, etc. The art journal is about "inside" things, such as my emotions, feelings, reflections, etc. That being said, there will be times (like the Jackson concert) when the same things could spill into both journals. Kinda interesting how that works, I think.

In other news, Mary Ann Moss' new journal class info is up! It looks like an awesome class and I can't wait for it to start! Click here for the full scoop!

Also, there is great news about 21 Secrets! They've decided to extend it through the end of 2011! So that means, if you are already a member, you've got FIVE extra months to delve into the classes; and if you aren't a member, you now have until October 1st to sign up! How super-fun is that?!!! Click here for more info.

That's all for today my friends - I hope you are having a fantastic week! I will see you again soon with another update. Thanks so much for visiting!!!
