It has been one crazy week that has simply flown by...I can't believe that it is already Friday...

What in the heck is up with the Southern Cali weather??!!!! People canoeing down streets? I would have never thought I'd see that ever happen....while it is downpouring in Cali, it's been quite 'warm' in Washington...the other day while driving home from work I think it had hit 60 degrees!!! Anywho's, it seems that I'm going to have to pack an umbrella...grrrrrrr...takes away from my luggage space that I was going to allot for CHA shopping...

Here's what I came up with!

I dragged out some old Stampin' Up paper from their Print Pack...I haven't touched that stuff in for-evah....I'm trying to incorporate the "Use what you Got" theory...until I hit the CHA floor tomorrow...muwahahaha....seriously though, I have tons of stuff that I thought I 'needed' only to have not used or hardly used it. The magnificent Allison Filo and peeps started the Everything old is New...for stamps....but I noticed the fabbie Teri Anderson {she is the rockin' Paper Crafts Go-To-Gal} issued an old stuff challenge....right up my alley for today's card! So I have my old patterned paper...and my much hoarded Heidi Swapp plastic alpha letters...

I paper pieced the You take the Cake image....the background is PTI Aqua Mist that just makes all the red & pink pop! I colored in the candle flames with copics and you know me, if I can fit in some poms....I WILL!

Warm Wishes...

Thanks to JenMarie, she reminded me that I needed to make a get well'ish card. Last week a very dear lady that I know was in the hospital for a couple days. She is back home but I wanted to let her know that I was thinking of her. The My Favorite Things "Bunny Slippers" set was screaming to be inked up. What could be more cheery than Amy Butler papers? I just {heart} her patterns and love to mix and match them up. Are you wondering where the glitter is?? It is around the scalloped oval :)

I was also inspired by Jennifer Pebbles. I bought a couple of these treats for my bosses...I was going to wrap them in some yummish ribbon and call it good {yup, the Stampin' up Riding Hood Red Grosgrain that you've been seeing alot here} but decided to use my KI Memories papers and the fabulous Top Note Die. I added some K&Co Twinkle Type and Stampin' Up Felt Flurries and Bam, a self-contained gift! The best part of it? They were super easy smeasy and what a difference a little paper and embellies make!

My All Weather Friend...

Happy Monday!!!

I hope that you had a FABulous weekend. The weather has been gorgeous in the Pacific Northwest. I've been taking advantage of it by hopping onto my bike in the evening.

Yesterday wrapped up the Seattle Susan B Komen Breast Cancer 3 day Walk. I want to give a shout out to my friend E that completed it!!! It was a first time she signed up for it and I am so very proud of her...60 miles...high five sista!!

Those of you that have been following my blogging journey know that I'm pretty much a clean & simple design kind of gal. This MFT card is about as layer'licious as I will get...lol. I'm trying to use sets that are horribly neglected...never seen the light of day. I love the Rain or Shine set. Guess what? It is on sale...my favorite word, sale! This card will go postal today to a friend of mine that is a true animal lover. She has been consistently fostering dogs on top of volunteering at her local animal shelter. She holds a full time job...travels for that job...manages to even make time to make beautiful jewelry {I've been trying to get her to open up an etsy shop!}. She is actually one of thee most craftiest peeps I know...I think she's experienced in almost every crafting possible..lol...AND she's magnificent at everything!

Be Happy!!

Here's a sketch to try! This is for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge: MFTSC40

I used my punny farm stamp set. The animals are happy at play while the farmer-ess is hard at work! Though she seems to have a little spring in her step, I think she's thoroughly enjoying what she's doing too!! I wanted to use MFT's signature colors and thought it worked out well. I forgot to add the sentiment before I took the pix. "BE HAPPY"

Be happy...this gives the connotation of effort on our part, doesn't it? Do you choose to be happy? Or do you let the your circumstances dictate your mood? I'm sure each one of us has happenings in our lives that could lead to unhappy feelings of some sort. But how will you choose to live your life? On a roller coaster of emotions or in a constant state of happiness? I remember the day my daughter was to have a test for a "rare" medical condition, she was not quite two. The outcome of the test would either be celebrated or bring devastation to our family. It was hard to hold on to hope that morning....and so we prayed! The Lord gave us Psalm 112. It spoke of a blessed man... he will never be shaken,...will have no fear of bad news,...his heart is secure, he will have no fear...! You have to read it, it's so cool!!! And I will never forget the peace we rec'd that day..........even telling the medical technician that she was healed! And she was, now she's a sassy "almost" 13 year old!!! And we still turn to that Psalm quite often!! God is so good!!! He's faithful too! So turn all your troubles over to the Lord, then choose to be happy!!!

Missing Ewe........a 3x3!

Here's a mini card! This was for the MyFavoriteThings Ambassador program. We were to make a 3x3 card and matching envelope using MFT stamps, of course! I love their stamp sets! I never made a card this small before and a tiny little envelope to boot!!! I think it turned out pretty cute! The DP is DCWV All Dressed Up pack. And the sheep is from the Punny Farm set.

The sentiment is CG and I added a little pink bling.

I hope to post the rest of the vacation pictures today...still missing AZ and that dry heat. We are experiencing temperature indexes in the 100's. Hot and Humid!!! We're staying inside today! We are so thankful our church has Sat night services or Sun morning.......it's great having a choice. It's an awesome church, if you live in the Capitol Region of PA, I invite you to attend! Feeling Better?

You Cured Yet? This layout is for the SCS sketch challenge SC173. Irl, the pinks are pinker and the bling is sparkly. The flower is popped up along w/the pig and she has a wire piggy tail! The DP is from MME Everyday Tango pack. The flower is punched with SU!'s Boho and Miss Pig is from MFT's Punny Farm set. I used a crumbled tissue inked with pink dabbed around the center and brown around the edge of the white cs.

I made this card for a lovely lady who is feeling a little under the weather. I know she has a good sense of humor so I'm hoping she'll like this card.

It's a beautiful day here in Pennsylvania, I awoke to 60 degrees and it will get close to 80 today, finally! yeah! But now the grass needs mowed and with gas prices @$3.50, we might just have to sprinkle wildflower seeds throughout the yard and let it go!!

Just Chicken Up on You....

I'm still having fun with Punny Farm from MFT. Love cutting out this "face-less" lady! This card was made for someone I don't get to talk to much. Thought I send a smile her way. Doesn't this DP just look so yummy? It's from MME, one of those luscious books filled with doublesided paper! I used SU markers for the coloring and pastels for the sky and ground then stamped a "barely there" fence. The peeps stamp is from RubberStamping Fun...........which ships all it's stamps for free! What's in the bucket, you ask? Chicken feed, of course! Have a wonderful day!
