Hello...T.G.I.F!!!!

Oy, whatta week it has been....haven't been feeling 100% since last Thursday...even went to the doc to get meds that, well, made me feel even worse...ugh...so I'm trying to take it easy as I have a special birthday party that I'm going to tomorrow.....

It is a 95th birthday party tomorrow night...95th....okay, so it is for one of my friends that has turned 50 and another that will be turning 45...haha..multi-tasking party...do you know how difficult it is to get 7 women together...it is seriously like herding cats...crazy...

I had the best intentions to make everyone an invite but {sigh} when I got hit by this icky bug, I was using all the energy I could muster just to go to work...be a mom...be a soccer mom...yaddda yadda yadda...

I have fallen in ♥♥♥♥ with MME's Lost & Found line...talk about g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!

I've teamed up the Lost & Found papers with a glittered bird from Schlosser Designs, Have A Tweet Day set. I should try something else with that image...seems like I'm always glittering it up with Martha glitter but I really like the look:)

I'm thrilled to see that Paige picked this up for the accordion flower challenge over on the Cards Blog:)

Next up is some Homespun Chic...

I've been hoarding this stuff like crazy because I love it so much...Check it out...love the double decker circle frame with lace...I popped that epoxy circle sticker in the middle..and framed it! The buttons are actually Basic Grey...

Pocket card

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas! I'm just getting back to stamping but only "part time" until after the new year! I made this quickie pocket card for a Christmas thank you.

There are white sparkly embossed snowflakes on the white cs and it's hard to see the actual flap of "the pocket"! Apparently my photo skills are still on holiday! The inspiration for the pocket came from the CCEE challenge. I enjoy seeing all the beautiful creations on their blog! I'll try to post more before the new year but most of the cards I need to make are for ladies who read my blog and I can't show them before they're received! I can't believe 2008 is almost over! Have a safe and Happy New Year celebration! Blessings!

Chardonnay Fleur

Here's another pocket card...this time is uses Basic Grey Periphery. I **love** the parisian feel of the paper. It is another design I worked on yesterday for the bride-to-be. This pocket card is stitched'orama....it was a great way to "adhere" the twill tape. I knew that I wanted to make one card with the Deluxe Designs Plain Janes Chipboard that I bought...long...long...time ago...I have several packages of the stuff..must have hit a good clearance {lol}. I tried to use my various MM paints but dang, they seem to be all sealed shut. I couldn't get the little buggers open...any helpful tips?

Urban Fleur

I have been commissioned to design a card for a gal that just recently became engaged. No pressure, the gal that is commissioning the card is ultra picky and the gal that has become engaged is very savvy...she works in Los Angeles for a major clothing designer. This is my first stab at a design...I also completed another one today that I'll post tomorrow. I have a couple other designs brewing. I tell you, there is sooooo much inspiration everywhere that it is simply overwhelming.

I love Basic Grey and the Urban Couture line is simply gorgeous. In my perfect world, the beaded ribbon would have been darker...thought I would try to smudge some Holtz ink on it but thought it might make it look dirty rather than shabby chic! You can't really tell but I did use the old janome to stitch the front panel of the pocket card.

This weekend the weather has been perfect. Yesterday we spent the afternoon on the Seattle Waterfront at the Aquarium...then headed out to dinner. The kids had to stop and do some Mother's Day shopping so I gave them $$...oh well, it is the thought that counts. I wanted to join them in Michael's but they wouldn't let me...probably for the best...lol.
