Time for a Spa Day!

Could you use a spa day?

Stamps: Fresh Brewed Designs (some things are better rich)

Papers: SU! cs, K&Co design paper

Ink: Copic markers

Other Zva Creative bling, Nesties, 

SU! slit punch (for scallop border)

piercing tool (for faux stitching)

oh, I would love a day of pampering!!   Wanna come over for a spa day??

Here are a few homemade recipes to try for your next spa day!

Oatmeal Face Cleanser

3 tablespoons oatmeal
2 teaspoons witch hazel
And a few drops of water


You want to dampen the oatmeal first then add the witch hazel. 
Then add the water to make it moist. 
Apply to your face with an upward and outward circuler motion. 
Rinse with lots of warm water. 


This recipe is good for all types of skin. 
If you have dry skin add a little oil. 
You can also add a mashed bannana for more nourishment.

After your face is clean, try this creamy facial mask for soft skin; refreshing!

Yogurt Cucumber Parsley Facial Mask

1 Tbsp. plain yogurt

1 Tbsp. cucumber

1 Tbsp. parsley

Puree the cucumber and parsley finely and mix with the yogurt until smooth.
Cover your face with this creamy mask.
Leave the mask on for approximately 15-20 minutes for best results.
Rinse with water.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!!

Ahhhh...love St. Patty's Day because I adore the color green...it is a major color in my wardrobe:)

I played along in the Unscripted Sketches #46:

Here's a little giftie duo for the man...

All the happy paper is Jillibean...the Lucky You/Happy St. Patrick's Day images are TomKat Studio freebies that I found on How about Orange.

I tweeked the sketch a smidge and used the same size Jillibean panels. The rub on is ala Stampin' Up.

I don't know if you can tell but the Happy St. Patrick's Day circle is mounted on a black scalloped circle....love the black ric rac..it is ala Martha and is extra crunchy...100% nylon. The tin is filled with local Dilettante chocolate truffles. Nothings says St. Patty's Day like chocolate:)

chock full of goodness....

This blog post is a big one...perhaps it is my way of getting a smidge 'ahead' since I'll be taking the next 2 weeks at a slower blogging pace...getting ready for another Gift Show. I'll be 'off' on Monday-Wednesday and back again on Thursday.

Okay, this is my take on Kazan's sketch 40...I had fun with this one:

Seriously, there is something about the Hero Arts Three Christmas Dolls set....absolutely makes me happy!

I love teaming up the Jillibean black and kraft line together. What is that I see... yes, I did find my Eskimo Kisses 6x6 stack...yup, evidently I actually put it away...LOL...something that I didn't think that I had done! Don't you love the word bubble? It is from Elsie Flannigan/Red Velvet Art...you'll see some other things from her in a bit...

Here's a project I put together using some goodies from The Cutting Cafe. I used the wine bottle shaped card...put it together with a bottle of sparkling cider {LOL...I'm not a drinker...have you heard of Asian Flushing Syndrome?}. I also used the Merry Christmas Huge Printable Circle Word set.

Next up is a project for My Cute Stamps. I finally bought some felt and picked up the fabbie Sizzix flower die that I keep seeing out there in blogland. I did a smidge of hand stitching...great way to adhere the pale pink felt to the cardstock...Isn't that My Cute Stamps Owl just a Hoot?!

Okay, my peeps that know me will be proud...I actually baked on Thanksgiving! I had so much fun putting together these Red Velvet Cupcakes together! I got the recipe from Design*Sponge...it is the Waldorf Astoria one. I'll be honest, I didn't have much luck with the frosting...I followed the directions...it tasted good but it looked icky...almost curdled so I didn't want to chance it...I went to the grocery store and picked up some other frosting...I know, I know...for you bakers you are probably shrieking...appalled but hey, I'm not a baker and let me tell you, those puppies still tasted delish!!

I "had" to personalize one of the cupcake toppers...they are Red Velvet Cupcakes and Elsie is the queen of Red Velvet:) My boy helped me out alot...but I have to be honest...after the baking and frosting was over...my kitchen looked like a crime scene...red stuff everywhere!


We definitely had fun with the moustache's!

...you say tomato...

Happy Friday!!!!

This gift set is for a co-worker's birthday. She is a magnificent cook/baker so when I saw the tomato/kitchen theme goodies at M's {when I was in Montana!}, I knew that I was going to do something with them for her. Her birthday card is based on CP#13. Yup, today would be my 2nd day in a row that I've used an American Crafts flair embellie, but isn't is just perfect-o? Her "real" gift is nestled inside the card...a Tully's gift card...she's a Tully's girl...not Starbucks..{gasp!}.

Well, this is Mother's day weekend...Do you have special plans? I'll get to see my Mom tonight and Sunday. I'm making her Thai Chicken Curry tonight and we'll take her out on Sunday. Me?? I'll be crafty most of Saturday....oh-so-looking-forward-to-that!!

Luck and Good Fortune..

It is the last day of work for my cubicle neighbor. He is off to a new job...a great opportunity. I wanted to put together something unique for him...well, I had to since he is gluten, lactose and sugar-free...{whew!}. I happened to read in the latest Real Simple magazine that black eyed peas are a symbol of good luck....
