snail mail...

Happy Saturday!!!

This is my 2nd post for today..make sure you pop over to see my Card Patterns project!!

I love Laura's sketch 34 and wanted to play along this week. I have been wanting to use this sweet snail image from the My Cute Stamps set, Little Forest Friends. I had this idea brewing in my mind and love the combo of My Cute Stamps, The Cutting Cafe and Friendly Forest!

Talking about The Cutting Cafe...make sure you pop over there today...Regina is having a special 'cupcake' sale...come on, who doesn't love cupcakes??!!!!

Isn't the Martha Loop Edge punch fun? Pretty impressive how it 'folds up' for storage...those peeps at Martha are smart cookies. The 'snail mail' is ala Making Memories tiny alpha stickers and I used a Stampin' Up punch. No surprise that I stitched around the red polka dot panel...it seems these days that a card doesn't seem 'finished' to me unless it has some sort of stitching on it.

Well, today is filled with 4 soccer games...oy. We're also hoping to get some more school clothes shopping in too...

Just a smidge of enabling...wanted to let you know that the PTI Pure Poppy buttons are back in stock!

Friendly Owl...

Hello!

I'm back with this week's SFYTT!

It has been awhile since I've used my Friendly Forest stash'ola so I used that along with PTI Buttons and Kaiser pearls. Every panel has stitching on it...I tell you, I'm been going crazy on the Janome....perhaps one day I might be able to sew fabric together...LOL.

I just can't get enough of owls....

go nuts

This is my take on this weeks CP#16! I used a frosted ShortCuts card blank but trimmed it down to 4.25 inch square. The sweet Friendly Forest die cut was too small to smack onto the regular 4.25 x 5.5 inch base so I changed up the sketch a smidge :) The fun polka dot paper is from the Friendly Forest pad. The buttons are from my PTI vintage stash and SEI. How do you like the "compact" pom pom trim? I picked it up from i {heart} papers! It's the perfect size for the smaller cards...Thanks to the magnificent Tracy of the CP & i {heart} papers DT who enabled me :)

cute & friendly

There is just something about the Friendly Forest line that just makes me smile...the stuff is sooo stinkin' CUTE! I love the little paper pad, it's great but I tend to only use it when my cards go horizontal, like this one, since the pad is printed that way...My cards are typically vertical with the fold on the top rather than the side unless I want to do my ribbon on the long/tall side, kwim? Are you particular where your card fold is?

Jen's sfytt is super fun...I love how my card turned out because it is chock full of color and all the sweet Friendly Forest animals!
