My "Oldies but Goodies" stash is this fun paper.

I found this SU! dsp (designer series paper) in a nice little package, barely opened.  I think it was a hostess gift, maybe?!   Glad I found it, these colors make me smile!

I made this card for the Taylored Expressions Grand Opening Challenge the other day @ SCS!  Taylored Expressions just recently became part of  SCS Member Companies!  yay!   Taylor was so generous as to create a few digis from her stamp lines so everyone could play along with the challenge!

My naughty printer spit ink again, on the girl penguin, fortunately it was just the right place for a little heart!  haha   how's that for a fix!

I had a ball with this one!  Might have gone a little overboard with my pinking shears but in the end I thought it worked out well! 

I have my card displayed with some African souvenirs my hubby brought back from Liberia during a mission trip!

New Baby Buds & Paper Playtime Challenge

Good Monday morning!

I have a few events to share with you today

1. A very important fundraiser starts today for our lovely blogging friend Katie Renz, check out all the details over a Jak Heath's site!   I'll have more info on this later in the week too!
2. A fun new challenge starts today @ Paper Playtime, the theme is Black & White(or silver)!
3. There are new Baby Buds being released today AND a new challenge entitled 'Friends'!

Here's my black & white card for Paper Playtime!   I got my days mixed up and had to create this baby in a hurry!
Stamp, stamp, stamp, pour embossing powder over all, heat it up, tie on a ribbon and place the gems....easy peasy quick & easy!  lol

Warning...you may get glittery from this post...and the last two!  lol   I been playing in the glitter for the last few days, you can probably imagine what my work area looks like!   Acutally, it makes me happy when I sneeze glitter...I find it somehow magical!

I didn't have a heart punch in the size I needed so I just cut one out, remember life before die cut machines?  lol  I also found some regular seam binding and decided to use some before dying it and wrinkling it! lol

This certainly could be used as a Valentine's Day card, with a change of the word...but I needed some encouragement cards...I'm hearing so much sad news around me this year already!

ABC Toys-Sweet Treats

Happy Thursday to ya!!! Today is my host day over on the ABC Toys & Crafts Design blog and look what I have to share with you! Well, share might be too strong a word because there's really nothing left to share....lol!

Our ultra talented DT leader, Justine, challenged us this week to create a project with the theme,
I love you....'Sweetheart'!
Well, boy, did we have fun! Everyday this week the ABC girls have been showing some fun & fabulous creations on the design blog! But to add to the fun, we INVITE YOU to play along!!

Simply create a card or project with the theme -I love you....'Sweetheart' and pop over to the blog and enter it into Mr Linky!!! You could win an ABC Toys & Crafts store credit!!!!

As you can see, I choose to run with the sweet-hearts part of the theme and make little treat boxes to hold these delicious foil covered chocolate hearts! Four candies fit in each box...I know because I carefully sorted and counted out how many I needed for giving and how many were left to gobble! lol Actually, I did share some with my 11 yr old son, but only because he was staring at me!
