Touchdown/skiing

Last Monday, Mikaela was complaining that her nose was bothering her. She had a weird hard rock lump (looks like cyst) on her side of neck. As parents, we were freak out and worried what it could be. It was a big mistake for me to goggle the Internet up (they were so negative about it). Of course, I was freak out and have Hollie called doctor. Dr wanted see her now. Hollie took her to doctor. Doctor noticed a big time swollen tonsils and is RED.
Doctor was concerned but decided to test for strep throat. Doctor came in the room and said - TOUCHDOWN!! He checked and told us - It's Mikaela's FIRST STREP THROAT that came in positive. We all were so puzzled... Mikaela did not complain throat sore or anything but nose! Doctor said it can related... Weird! (Mikaela wasn't happy because she was scheduled to go on snowboarding on that weekend. She couldn't go :o( ). She is on antibiotic.
Today, we decided to check her tonsils to see if swollen has downsizing. They did but not fully :o(. Oh boy, Mikaela was MAD this morning because she was suppose to go on snowboarding tomorrow and Thursday. We told her - maybe Thursday but can't promise but think need to see doctor first before we go ahead.
We might will go on skiing/snowboarding on Christmas day, because - not many people are going there... Last year, my friends went there on Christmas day and there is only few people. They feel like they own the mountain. Which is nice!!! Will see how things go on Christmas day.. as you know - kids opened their gifts and wouldn't want to leave and want to play with toys or whatever Santa brings them. We will see how things go on that day.
Kyron said - he will not go on snowboarding. I asked - why? He said I don't want to but I want to ski. (that is first time that he said he wants to learn how to ski). I told him - sure you can go on skiing - you don't have to go on snowboarding... He beamed with a big smile - I can go on ski and don't have to go on snowboarding... :o) so we will start him to learn how to ski instead of snowboarding (maybe in the near future, he will learn how to snowboarding). We want to him to build his self-confidence. He's not risk taker kid! He observes to see if things are safe or not... If it looks safe, then will go... If it doesn't look safe, he refuse to go... One kind of kids I guess...
the most important to me to see my kids are comfortable what they want to do....
