38 WEEKS!

Wow, two more weeks and we've made it to Carly's due date! I asked my doctor last Wednesday if she could induce me if we go past Carly's due date. I told her I would rather suffer through the Patocin and have her on her due date that have her later. I'm so ready to have her here NOW! My doctor thought that sounded good. She said she'd give me the cervix check this Wednesday and we could schedule an induce date if Carly doesn't come before her due date. :) Makes me HAPPY. My friend at school went 2 weeks over due and she said it was so awful. She cried everyday. My doctor says its common for first time pregnancies to go past the due date. YIKES. My best friend K had Patocin and had a horrible experience with it. My mom was induced with me and they had her on so much she literally went from 0-10 centimeters in one hour. Poor thing went into shock. I was such a huge baby too...9 pounds 11 oz. Sure hope Carly's smaller. Probably not, with the way I've been feeding us. :) The good news is..when they give you Patocin, they can also give you the epidural sooner. I'm down with that!
Yesterday I hung out with my mom. She took me to JC.PENNY'S for some new shirts. I got five new XXL's. One blue, red, gray, black and hot pink. Now, I'm set for another two weeks. I have to be presentable at work. I can't be showing off the bottom of my belly to the kids. The shirts were only $16.50. A bargin I think. And they are nice and thick with a V-neck.
My mom's doing her protein shake diet. It gives her so much energy and she always feels so much better being "in the solution." She told me she thinks she feels the same at 62 as I do being pregnant. I had to disagree. She's not growing a human being and her hormones are not RAGING the way my pregnant hormones are RAGING. Yes, her metabolism has slown WAY down because she is older, especially because she isn't active, but I don't think she can compare the two. I am normally a person who can control my cravings and "Just Say No" to bad choices, but since I've been pregnant I'm not that girl.
My mom's blood pressure has gotten really high and she thinks its a direct result of her weight. She's on day 2 of her shake diet and I have to say it seems like she transforms when she's on it. She's chatty, laughing and full of energy. Its so weird. My mom did the shake for an entire year and got SO skinny. Although, as soon as she got off the shake she'll starting gaining it back. So I'm not sure if the shake is really the best thing. It is miraculous how good she feels on it though.
Tina and I are going to run out and get some things for Easter. K, T, and C are going to spend Easter with us and my family. I'm SO excited they will be there with us. It will be so much fun.
