Natural Spring Under the House :(

The moisture meter went off the chart when the inspector was checking the house. He definitely believed there was a natural springs running under the house. The gutter had moss on it from so much water and they also thought they could see where it was coming down from the bank. The drainage system was another issue. It had never been put in right. So, years of natural spring and over flow from the drain. Not good. So, we're moving on. It was going to be a lot of work right at the time Carly was going to be making her appearance, so we'll just chalk this house off as not meant to be. We really don't need a place this soon anyway. We still have another six months left in our current home. But, it still made us sad. We feel in love with that neighborhood. The other house we recently saw the $209,000 house that was on the market for a day before it was snatched up with three cash offers over the asking price and 5 regular offers was next door to an ice cream truck driver which sort of gave Tina and I the creeps. We got the feeling the ice cream man could really be a child molester in disguise. Tina and I both didn't get warm fuzzies thinking about it raising Carly next to an ice cream man. Call us paranoid.
Today's morning weight on this Tuesday, February 17, 2009 was 188.5 lbs. :( Starting this Saturday Carly should pack on a half a pound a week. She's been measuring 2 weeks ahead in body weight so that means Carly should weigh about 4.5 lbs Saturday and if she's born at 40 weeks will be a 9 pounder when she is born, which is a little intimidating. I was 9 pounds 16 oz and sunny side up when I was born. I wiped my poor mother out. We are big people in my family and we make big babies! :) I saw Mel B on Ellen today. She is so cute. I love her cockney accent. I related when she said she gained 60 lbs during her pregnancy. She started working out afterward having her baby and got so into it that she made a work out video. Ellen asked her how long it took to lose her pregnancy weight and she said only about 3-4 months. She worked out an hour 3 times a week with her friends. She gave me hope that I will be able to get back in shape. I feel ashamed that I have gained so much weight even though it seems to be a very common thing for women who get pregnant. :) I believe that having Carly will be my greatest accomplishment . I imagine nothing will compare. :) YEAH, Tina and I are going to watch a movie now and wind down. Its been a long day.
