My ears have been itching and my nose is getting all ichy...I'm afraid Tina's cold is starting to show its signs on me. Tina's at the cough and snotty phase of her cold. She no longer has the sore throat, but she's had a non-stop sinus headache. She's a trooper. Working through it. She's all clammy and sick..I've been trying to keep somewhat of a distance. Normally, I always kiss her goodbye in the morning when I leave for work and this morning I did an air kiss and she felt so rejected. Poor thing. :) I have to be careful kissing Roxy too, because even though Tina is sick it doesn't stop her from kissing Roxy's face every chance she can get.
We heard from the Seller of the house we were going to buy but found out it had natural springs running through it, that they are planning on fixing the problem and are hoping we will still be interested. YIKES. They'll have to fix it up pretty good or give us an AMAZING offer, because the house needs at least 6 months to a year to dry out, but they can fix it and we'll bring inspectors to check it out again. There's no harm in that.
Last night at dinner I had three very painful what seemed to be baby kicks, but I think they were actually more Braxton Hicks contractions!!! It really got my attention! Then I got excited...I wish Carly wasn't only 30 and a half weeks old, because I'm ready to have her!! I've never been very patient or the type who keeps secrets very well. In fact, I have a hard time waiting for anything I'm excited about. I'm terrible at giving presents at the right time. I always want to have an early celebration!! : I have to constantly remind myself that Carly needs this time to grow and I actually really need this time to work. This is my first year teaching at this dream job and I want to set a good example. Its not easy though, because my mind is on Carly and its hard to focus on anything else. I need to finish BTSA and get my credential cleared and I still need to be observed three times by my Vice Principal. There's still a lot to do. We still need to wash all the baby linen and get the cradle ready. We still haven't picked up the mattress for it. Funny, because we have the mattress for the crib, but the crib hasn't come in yet!
I also should try to sell our twin jogger. Tina and I were so certain we would have twins we just went ahead and got the twin jogger three years ago when Tina was taking Clomid to get pregnant. We thought our dogs would love it too, but ROXY hated it! She felt like a caged animal and wanted out! Its a cool jogger you can pull it with your bike too. I think a single one will be better for Carly though. What dorks we were for buying that. We've literally used it two times.
I can't stop wondering what Carly will look like. I imagine her being this little chubby baby with brown curly hair and big brown puppy dog eyes. I can't wait to meet her. I've been imaging Tina just beaming as she holds her. I have a feeling Tina's going to find out that she loves Carly more than anything in the whole world. Tina's going to be such a wonderful mom. This really is an extraordinary chapter in our lives. By the way, its so time for another couple pregnancy picture. Tina and I must be antisocial, because its only ever the two of us, so we can never both be in the picture together. My belly looked so big in the maternity/tent shirt I wore today it actually made me laugh out loud. Tina's going to look like a fly when she stands behind me and tries put her little arms around my belly!
