Celebrate 2010

Having a little fun with a shaped card! Well, all my stash is almost packed away for this next week, I'll be busy outside of blogland! I have my DT cards done and scheduled so I was moving on to the next holiday...

This is a Victoria Case for SCACD image, Everyday Gal-Miss Chardonnay! Thought she was perfect for this wine shaped card! I colored her with Copics and gave her a gold party dress & heels, finished off the wine bottle w/sparkly gold embossed flouishes! A really quick card but perfect for the occasion!

Here are the challenges...
Victoria Case chall~colors.
Stampin' B's~beverage.
Theme Thursday~legs.
Creative Belli chall~flourishes.
Sassy Designs by Susie~touch of gold.
Doodle Palace~New Year's card/glitter.
Daring Cardmakers~new beginnings.
The Play Date Cafe~colors.
Charisma Cardz~anything but Christmas.
Created by Hand~vintage.....it'll be a very good year! I thought outside the box on this one! lol What can I say, I'm Italian!!

I have some more traditional Christmas cards to show you later! It's snowing now, so we're having a great day! Hope you have a great day too! Praying peace over you, enjoy every moment of this magical season! Blessings!

A Get Well........Butt!

This is for a loved one in the hospital right now. Thought he could use the laugh!
I CASEd this from memory........saw it a pretty long time ago......can't remember where. However, I did find a template for the butt from
Stamp Owl's Studio here! After I cut out the butt base (kraft paper), I versamarked the bashful blue gown with itty bitty bg stamps and folded back the corners. I added some string and an altered bandaid. The little tag was added because I needed to use black along with the kraft and blue paper for the CC171 challenge at SCS. A fun card to make!

And now for something completely different....

Having a Happy day!! It's always good to have some B'day cards on hand, so when I saw today SCS color challenge I knew I would make a Happy card! The colors are Basic blk, P.Pomegranate and Sky blue. The card itself is a two-way-open card, a unique way technique. The base is blk. with the front flap cut on an angle. The lt blue DP in over the cut flap only. When the flap is lifted, the cranberry opens up like a tablet. The blk piece is attached to the front on the cranberry "tablet" along with a blk brad. After the "tablet" is open the white insert is attached. The sheer white ribbon is tied around the blk piece only as to not hinder the opening of the card. The focal image is the cake from Blooming with Happiness (SU! hostess) stamped in black with dazzling diamonds on the candle flames. The top, stamped layer is lt. blue on white on blk on cranberry and a black brad. Again the scanner does not show the sparkle, too bad, it looks fabulous! I hope this encourages you to try a new technique or at least think outside-the-box. I'll have another look at a two-way-open card later. The first one I made, the colors did not show up well but I did have views of each of the openings which would probably be helpful. Off to make more B'day cards. Blessings!!
