We had a lovely celebration last night...{belated} Congrats to JW for graduating from Seattle University's School of Law!!! We pooled our funds to buy JW a spa certificate...what girl wouldn't need a spa appointment after going to law school full time and working full time???

Cheater Cupcake

I typically do not buy cards...I just can't justify the purchase with my vast inventory of paper products, stamps and embellishments. I could not pass up these blank Target note cards. They were in the $1 bin, 8 cards for $1! They are not high quality paper but hey, 8 for $1?! I call this card my Cheater Cupcake because of the store bought card...I actually made 2 designs. They are in anticipation of my DD's March birthday. She likes my "other" design that I will post tomorrow. She picked out both the stamps that were used on the card when we were at the Rubber Soul over the weekend. TFL!

Amy Butler

On Friday I happened to put this most fabulous card into my "favorites" folders on Splitcoaststampers. It is a wonderful card by markie's mom. She designs what looks to be the most labor intensive pieces of work....they are always over the top stunning. When I read the deets about that particular card it took me to the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. IC110 is based on gorgeous fabric by Amy Butler. It's funny, I was thinking it was "calling my name". Long story short, look what I ended up buying at the Rubber Soul shop on Saturday. I've always loved this bag but didn't realize until I got it home that evening that it is ala Amy Butler!

The bag ended up being a great way to carry out all my wonderful purchases from Rubber Soul. It can hold a TON of things {I added a bunch of stuff to my current "inventory"} and will be great for me to lug all my crafty stuff around. Sadly, Rubber Soul is closing their Redmond location but they had a magnificent sale on the day that I was there.

Got Chocolate?

I enjoy designing chocolate cards...who doesn't like chocolate? I have a gazillion sheets of designer paper and I seem to keep reaching for my Making Memories Cosmo line, it cracks me up. It will be something I will work on for the next couple of months...in addition to branching out on the stamps that I use, I'll use my neglected designer paper. I just picked up the DCWV Rockstar paper stack. You should see that within the next couple of days... For the time being, here is another Valentine's Day card.... The "Got Chocolate?" stamp is ala Rubber Soul. I was sad to hear that they are closing their Redmond shop.
