Monograms...love them

Isn't this a fun monogram coaster? I've had it for hmmm...an extended period of time...lol. I'm really working on the de-hoarding. I bought this box of SEI monogram chipboard coasters when a bunch of Paper Zone stores were closing in the Pacific Northwest. I totally stocked up on a TON of stuff...This is a 4.25 inch square card. This is perfect for a great friend of mine that celebrates her birthday this week! The lucky duck looks a good 15 years YOUNGER than she actually is...She is the sweet friend that made my birthday banner.

Happy Monday!

This fun monogram card is for a girl {hi G!} that will be celebrating her 8th birthday this week. She's a little whipper snapper...what girl doesn't love glitter {I certainly do!}..

I think the s.e.i. line of Hippie Chick is just too fun...I've had it for what seems like years and I'm surprised that they still carry it....that's totally cool. I guess I'm so use to companies discontinuing/retiring their lines like Stampin' Up and Basic Grey.

I've already had my workout for the morning...I've managed to corral both of my cats and put them into their pet carriers to take them to their vet appointment this morning....do you know how stinkin' fun that is {rolling my eyes}? They are not happy campers but I must say that I'm pretty impressed with how quickly I manage to accomplish the task this morning...usually it takes about an hour.

Square Cards. I love the look of them...throw in a K&Co Twinkle Type for a monogram and it is a slam dunk! I've been having fun with the Stampin' Up Print Pack. The dp's are magnificent, the brocade is my favorite. This is for a gal at work that is leaving us for a new job...great opportunity, I'm so very happy for her!

Birthday Wishes

Yesterday I volunteered to make a birthday card for a co-worker. Quite frankly, I love this Anna Griffin designer paper and I thought it was perfect for the soon-to-be-birthday-girl who always wears something black. Evidently, I think it is so versatile that I've also used the dp for a retirement and a sympathy card.

The weather has been so crazy...it snowed here on Wednesday and Thursday.

Nothing as much as I remember reading from Gina K's blog...now that was seriously crazy.

Time Flies...

Next week my DD, {darling daughter-trying to remember to translate for those that don't know the lingo} will be celebrating her birthday. It is the big 13. For those that remember her when she was a baby, you can agree that she has really blossomed...She cried all the time her first year. Cripes, we always lugged around a portable swing...it's the only thing that would soothe her. She is a fabulous girl that continues to amaze me. She is smart as a whip and has a great sense of humor...throw in her artistic talent both musically and "crafty-like" and you have a Mom that is so very proud of her. Can I also tell you that the other day we were walking around in Joann's and she brought to my attention that they had tafetta black & white gingham on clearance...okay, she didn't call it tafetta black & white gingham but said "that black & white ribbon you like is on clearance". Woo Hoo, that's my girl....this is when I should say I had several spools of the stuff already in my basket {LOL}.

She has several birthday festivities scheduled...

I'm a huge fan of celebrating birthday's!

This is her birthday invite...I had posted a different design earlier that used a Lockhart cupcake...but I couldn't wait to use my new Ginger Blossom DP.

Friends & Good Times

Don't you love spending time with friends? I get together with a great group of gals at least once a month. Last night we celebrated a very belated birthday {hi P!}. What can be better than laughing so hard that tears roll down your face? I needed that.... Three of us ended the evening watching the movie Juno.
