I used some Impress green wool felt and hand cut out 3 heart shapes and stitched them together to make a clover...whaddya think?

I put the Stickerz sentiment on the top of the felt and kept the overall design Clean & Crisp.

chock full of eye candy...

Happy Wednesday...I have tons to share with you today so let's get started!

I haven't played over at Design Dollies for awhile and loved their recent sketch:

I've been wanting to scrap the pic of my oh-so-gorgeous ring that Darin picked out for me:)  The papers are Echo Park, Life is Good...I based the colors around the green flower frog:)

Each strip of paper has been stitched with pink thread...the doily is compliment of Yvonne!

Next up is Card Patterns #84:

This started off as a birthday card but I've decided that it'll actually go to Darin's niece for her wedding card...I've said it before, and I'll say it again and again...I'm smitten by MME's Lost and Found line!

You can't really tell but the 'live, love & enjoy life' is a shaped multi-layer diecut sticker with glitter...gorgeous stuff...and yes, that ribbon is glittery....I stitched all around the brocade panel....

Next up is a Torendi project!

I picked up this patterned tape at the Torendi shop and cut it into a banner!

Each banner panel is separated with a black bling.  I stamped the Impress 'Happy Birthday' sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink...everything is nestled onto a Fabriano notecard.  This has already gone postal to a young man that will be turning 16 today...I knew him when he was practically a baby....he and my kids all went to the same daycare in Seattle...they are the one family I've kept up with and we're great friends...I have a tough time making masculine cards but think that this fits the bill...you should see all the girlie cards I'm always sending Darin:)

Way tooo cute!!!! You can't get the whole effect of the card...it is truly gorgeous...tons of shimmer and vibrant colors....bling and an owlie stamp?! How'd you know Joy?! LOL

summer goodness

Okay, today is chock full of goodness for you!!! I made 2 Quarter fold boxes with Lids from the Cutting Cafe. Here's the beauty of Regina's projects, you can print them out on solid cardstock and then embellish them with your lighter weight pattern papers. I bought a whole box of gorgeous K&Co papers but those papers are fairly thin so I printed the boxes out on my favorite Kraft paper by Speckletone.

The "Sweet Summer" box is topped off with Regina's New Sweet Summer stamp. I added an American Crafts details for a bit of fun :)

I used the I Love Summer stamp on my 2nd box. I thought the Kaiser pearls added a nice smidge of bling!

These boxes are great...I was able to fit 4 cards & envies in them. I made it like a DIY kit..I wrapped ribbon around 1 of the cards but left the others plain. I coiled the ribbons for the other 3 cards and popped them into the box.

So you wanna see the cards? They are 4x4's...I made them clean and crisp. I just used some fun American Crafts rub ons:

They make a nice all-occasion set of cards. It's a great gift for a co-worker, yup, these went to some former co-workers of mine that will be celebrating their birthday's soon.
I have another card to share with you but I wanted to let you know that Regina is letting me give away the Quarter Fold box w/Lid along with the 2 summer stamps!

happiness and fabulous...

Well, today is the last day of 365 Cards ShortCuts week so I have that project to share with you. I also squeezed in time to play along with the 2 Sketches 4 You peeps...

First up is my ShortCuts project:

ShortCuts Week, Day 7.

365 Cards Challenge:

Use Paint.

This was a great challenge for me because I've been wanting to paint up my lollipop flowers and glitter them up, just needed the motivation :)

I had it all planned out to use the Tim Holtz paint daubers that I picked up last year at a fabulous garage sale...well, I put those puppies in a really good "spot" and can't seem to remember where that would be....grrr....Luckily I have other traditional craft paints and based my project around the green paint that I used. The paper is vintage K&Co...I still love it, I never seem to tire of paisley. The panel on the interior of the card is actually folded in half so that I could write my message on the inside of the fold. The glitter is from Impress...The center of the flower are 2 foof-a-la buttons topped with a Kaiser Craft pearl. I used the "happiness" stamp from the Stampin' Up Warm Words set...it is in the lower right hand corner of the interior panel.

This was designed especially for a co-worker that recently eloped. They are having their wedding reception this afternoon...

If you haven't figured it out already...I simply adore the ShortCuts frosted card bases...they are absolutely fabulous. This has been a wonderfully fun week filled with ShortCuts products and projects.

Next up is my take on Laura's sketch 30...I've been wanting to use the Blog Printable stamps by the Cutting Cafe and thought this would be the perfect opportunity.

I used the MME Bliss line for my paper...gotta love the red/blue combo...I also used a SU Baja Breeze Corduroy and a PTI vintage button...love to stack them. I decided to stitch the bottom rectangular panel to give it some oomph.

There you have it....I was a busy bee this week and didn't have a chance to join in any other challenges until today. I'll be back into the challenge swing next week.

ShortCuts week, Day 3.

Today's 365 Cards Challenge:

Black, white and red all over.

Today I used a clear ShortCuts card base. The design of the card was really inspired by this Nichole Heady post, Introducing In Bloom. This is my take on these cards. I used Stampin' Up Riding Hood Red dp & the Sweet Sentiments set {btw, oddest thing, I have 2 of those sets...how in the heck did that happen??}...my favorite chandie image by Impress and a PTI vintage button....super clean & crisp.

woot woot thank you

It has been ages since I played along over at Caardvarks. I was hoping something would hit me for their window challenge. The other night when I was putting away a Cosmo Cricket Cogsmo kit, I decided to take the ribbon out of its packaging and then "aha" it hit me. I thought it might be the perfect size for Fabriano's and bingo it was. I wanted to put together a set of thank you cards for a co-worker's upcoming birthday...watch now she'll start reading my blog :)

I originally was going to use a hambly chandelier cardstock sticker but it wasn't big enough...wwwaaahhh...it was hot pink too...so I de-hoarded that adorable owlie...seriously I dehoarded. Lucky thing I'm close enough to my coworker to ask for the packaging back...LOL...unfortunately I'm telling the truth! I'll just tell her I'll put together a refill for her {wink wink}. In all honesty, she'll probably give me the packaging back knowing that I want the owlie back :)

I'm patting myself on the back for using my American Crafts scraps...isn't that orange houndstooth paper a-dorable?

The cards use my fav chandelier image by Impress...you can't tell but there are a couple black Kaiser Craft blings on it. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Okay, that's it for today....ahhhh...it is going to be a short work week for me..we have Thursday & Friday off...woot woot!!!

Centurion Birthday Card!

What would I do without all those fabulous challenge blogs? This is Jen's SFYTT but I turned it to portrait style. This is my birthday card for Amy's Card Drive. Check out my Blog Candy to support her Card Drive for up to 3 ways to get your name into the drawing!!!

I have a TON of neglected Basic Grey...this is from the Romani line...definitely an older pattern BUT just as sweet...how can anyone resist those fun and fresh colors?! I wanted to, of course, incorporate the lucky number 100 so I dehoarded my Thickers vinyl...they are nestled onto a Prima flower. Don't you love the Happy Birthday stamp? Great font ala Impress.

Look what 'd' surprised me with the other night....he ordered this. He read my blog post and picked it up for me....he is such the ♥keeper♥.

Thankful it's Thursday

Well, I am thankful that it is Thursday but it is also Thankful it's Thursday 365 Cards Challenge!! The details are to make a thank you note - but it must be easily reproduced. I'm a huge fan of clean and simple and that's what I came up with. The chandelier is one of my favs from Impress. I just added a smidge of bling, an A Muse sentiment and ribbon...easy smeasy. The card size is 4.25 x 4.25. Make sure that you link your card to the 365 Cards blog...you just might win "card of the week" and there will be a winner at the end of the month too.

happy EVERYTHING

Don't you love cards that just fall in place....especially when you literally only have 10 minutes to stamp? This is a group birthday card that went to my dear friend. We've know each other for over 20 years. She is my "fussy" friend....lots of style....tells you like she sees it...a true friend :) You know when you're looking around for thee perfect gift? I thought that I found it for this friend of mine. She is, as I mentioned before, fussy. She is a minimalist...doesn't want a lot of clutter. I went out on a limb and picked up 4 gorgeous mercury glass votive holders...not just mercury glass but each of the votive holders have thee best bling on them...1950's cocktail clip earring type bling....really indescribable but I know when I've found thee perfect gift when it resulted in a *gasp* and that it is fireplace mantel worthy...Woo Hoo!!!

Impress{ive} Peonies

I just love this Peony bloom ala Impress Stamps....it is a beauty, isn't it? The striped satin ribbon is from the M's $ bin and yup, I'm de-hoarding my chocolate satin ribbon.

Cupcake Riley and Savvy-licious...

Look at the sweet Riley card that I received from Jenn over at Stamps and All that Jazz!! She has done a FABulous job coloring and I "need" the 'hey there cupcake' stamp :) Thanks Jenn, you rock!!!

{I'm soooo going to check out photo tents/boxes..if anyone has any feedback I'd love to hear it....I don't know why sometimes the lighting turns yellowish, other times grey...}
