Odd blog post title, eh?

It was one of those...hmmm...what do I call this one?

I had a ball playing with my newest Crate Paper goodies, the Portrait Collection.  Good grief, all their lines rock and I have to say that I think that the CP Girls rock...so many of their styles just 'speak' to me...

Any ideas as to what the NO 522 means?  I think it is just random but if anybody knows for sure, please let me know:)

I tend to make a lot of non-sentiment cards...makes it customizable later.

Happy Friday!!!!

Another busy weekend planned for me...we'll be celebrating my Momma's birthday and I'm hoping to work like crazy on some pub subs:)

Remember on Sunday when I told you that I walked away from a project because of a lack of time?  Well, I managed to incorporate it into a new challenge because the original one that I was working on has since ended.  

Introducing Cruising Chloe'ster:

Chloe has been paper pieced with 6 different patterns from the New My Minds Eye Gertie line...how can anyone resist all those fab colors?  Yup, her shoes have even been paper pieced!

Yahoo for the weekend...do you have any special plans?  The girl is getting her pics taken {an annual event in our household} and I hope to be as crafty as possible:)

Today I have a 'lil card to share with you..it is 4.25 in x 4.25 in:

I played with my Basic Grey Hopscotch goodies from Ellen Hutsons!  I tell you, Hopscotch has such a pretty color palette....I focused on the pinks and browns.  The smaller flower actually had a yellow button that I clipped off and replaced with a PTI button and Queen & Co bling.  I don't know about you but I always have to have the matching chippie for any paper line that I purchase...dontcha just love that cloud/sentiment?

tinsel joy...

It's me...cutting it close to the Jingle Belles deadline:)

Check it out...I embossed...two panels!  Picked up the sizzix folders on sale:)

I used Stampin' Up Pretty in Pink and Pixie Pink....topped it off with straight and zig zag stitching.  I opted to not put a sentiment on the exterior of the card because of all that embossing...it doesn't seem to need one...

I got three words for you:

Tinsel glitter...ugh

I'm a HUGE fan of Martha's 'traditional' glitter...bought the silver and LOVE it...I found the Christmas set of Tinsel glitter on sale {even came with the Martha glitter glue}.....good grief, that stuff is u-n-r-u-l-y...seriously...anybody else have the stuff?  

I love that it looks so sparkly but seriously peeps, I think I inhaled some and I even sprayed each of the snowflakes with a clear coat...someone has to have some tips because I have like a life time supply of the stuff....

I also wanted to share a layout that I completed last weekend but haven't posted until today...

Thank goodness for my 13 year old photographer and copy editor.  Yes, the boy took the fun pic of the girl and he, ahem, found a typo on my original layout {before pics were taken...}.  In my haste and spelling backwards {that's how I typically lay the letter stickers down} , I managed to botch one of the words...cutest thing ever, the boy evidently was checking out the layout and casually said, "You haven't blogged that layout yet, have you?"  Then he so kindly tells me that I can't spell...well, not in those words...I'll have you know that I won my 3rd Grade spelling bee....they even presented me with an engraved plaque...do you know how special that made me feel?  Real special until I saw how they typed my name on that plaque:

Good grief, they managed to spell my **last** name correctly but spelled my first name wrong?!!!

I just ordered a new address stamp...wooo hooo....check it out, isn't it sweet?!

It was sooo hard to pick so it may not be my only addy stamp...but I loved the simplicity of this particular one along with the sweet font!!  It's from Sweet Papery:)

Lookie Lookie...Some Cosmo Goodness...

Dontcha love that huge chippie circle?  I popped some Kaisercraft bling on it...Pop over to Ellen's....she has some GREAT stuff...I actually stopped by Ellen's yesterday and picked up my latest order....sooo much fun stuff..

I managed to fit a sweet little banner on my card for Paige's challenge over on Cards Challenge Gallery!  The rub on is vintage Stampin' up...the stitching is what I like to call whimsical...free-form..

I have to tell you that you all rock sooo much....this whole blogging community really is the best...after the Card Patterns announcement was made I received several emails and comments on my blog and FB...I love all the positive ju-ju that you all gave me and continue to give me by visiting:)  Non-bloggers don't get the whole blogging thing but I think you all can relate when I say that I truly believe that this particular blogging community is like a huge circle of my friends...I've had the opportunity to meet a bunch of my blogging friends...that certainly IS icing on the cake but my wish would be to eventually meet everyone...wouldn't that be FUN?  Crazy.....yes....but a girl can hope:)

Hello and Happy Wednesday...half way through the work week...woot woot!!!

I'm sooo lovin' this October Afternoon paper...

Here's another card that I whipped together...I'm sooo behind on the Xmas cards so I'm making up some New Years cards...

I decided to also do a 'flat' design...The other day I spent over $100 in postage on bumpy cards...only 2 of them were international and the rest were domestic...crazy...okay, so I haven't been going to the US Post Office...I've been going to a mail service place...it's more expensive BUT there aren't any lines....Anywho's, the twine was a RAK from Karen B...thanks!!!

CPS Card Sketches Facebook Friday Girl!!!

I could NOT believe it when the fabbie Carly Robertson of CPS contacted me, little 'ole me, about being featured for CPS Facebook Friday! I could not have been more thrilled!!!

Here's what I came up with...

For those of you that have been following me for a while know that I simply a-dore Cosmo Cricket...they are one {of many really...} manufacturers that I love to work with...their colors and patterns are always something that I can have fun with! All the patterned paper is from the Material Girl line including the 'elements' label.

OMGoodness...are you just LOVIN' that Maya Road dress form? Yipes, so totally cute and I dressed it up with a necklace:)

The alpha is Cosmo Cricket's tiny type...I used PTI buttons, Want2Scrap pearls and finished it off with a bunch of stitching and a ZVA flourish....
