relax...

Hey There!

Had some fun with some Schlosser Designs stamps!

Decided to play with Furnishing Fun:

I just adore the chair....

All the patterned paper is Pink Paislee's Queen Bee...the lace is from J's bargain bin...I tend to heat emboss the chair...it gives it a more defined look...

I was inspired by the current OCC sketch:

I also played along with the gals over at CAS-tastic...Keeping it SIMPLE:

Stamped {check}

Inked {check}

Paper Pieced {pass}

Lace {check}

Emboss {check}

You had to use at least 3 of the elements, I used 4.

Did you see who the new 2S4Y girl is?!!! It's my bloggie buddie Angie!!! Woot Woot girlie!!! I couldn't have been more happy for her...she's a fabbie sista...I was thrilled to see my card made it to the Fab 10...pretty exciting since there were 150 entries:)

♥♥kid alert♥♥

I wanted to share the card that my girl made my boy for his birthday....

It looks like a fairly CAS design but if you look more closely and you're an A Muse fan....you'll see that she isn't as lazy as her Momma:) She fussy cut the scallop frame....inserted the A Muse Tiny bird on the left...the bird on the right has been hijacked from the A Muse Birds on a Wire image that she carefully inked up with a marker...she drew her own party hat, the branch, the thought bubble AND wrote up the sentiment by herself....She topped off the card with her very own bow...now come on...that'd make every crafty Momma proud...and youbetcha...I'm big time proud:) Stuff like this makes me embarassingly misty...

Here's to a fabbie week!

happy birthday....

Hard to believe that 13 years ago I gave birth to thee most fabulous boy....this kid literally lights up a room when he enters it...whether it is with his fabulous smile....his quick wit....or his never ending kindness...I've typed it before and I'll type it again and again...both of my kids will never know how much I love them....I'm truly lucky to have such wonderful kidlets....

Okay, I know you're not here to hear me gush about my kids.....onto some cards that I made for the boy....

A while ago I bought thee most fabbie "A Kawaii Day" rub on's, they are EAD Designs exclusive to Torendi...well, they are vinyl rub on's...that makes a ginormous difference...The vinyl is thicker but easier to adhere...wonderful combo....just look at the crisp contrast of the black vinyl and the patterned papers I used:

I paper pieced the images on The Boyfriend Cosmo Cricket paper....I used the bright yellow vinyl thickers to make the numbers pop! I kept this card clean and simple to really bring out the image on the PTI kraft base...and for the CAS-tastic Kraft Challenge.

Funny Story: I emailed Jenn of Torendi to find out what exactly that cute cube creature was...she thought it might be a tofu...LOL...sounds good to me says the 2nd generation Japanese peep that didn't even think of that!

My boy is one of my biggest supporters of my craftiness but sigh, also one of my biggest critics...LOL...he doesn't necessarily 'get' the whole CAS style...he tends to equate it to laziness...wtheck?! bahahaha....so I knew that I needed another card {one for me and one for darin} that had some stitching and maybe some fussy cutting....which led me to this card:

Last Christmas the boy picked up some sassy goodness for me...isn't he a sweetheart?! Seems perfect that he picked out pieces from Sassafras' Monstrosity line:) The base is Stampin' Up Summer Sun...all the patterned paper is Sassafras....the sentiment and the pointing hand is SRM:)

I was inspired by FTL98:

Thanks so much for stoppin' by...I do so appreciate all your comments!

Chock full of Goodness Friday...

Woot Woot for Friday!!!!!

I have tons to share with you today...so grab that cup 'o joe and get ready:)

I was inspired by Karen B's telephone card that she designed for her CAS-tastic Wednesday Challenge. I knew that I wanted to play with my new Tim images...

Here's the first card I designed....the card base is Stampin' Up Basic Gray...love that color. I used Charcoal Chalk but stamped off once so that the black wasn't as dark. I do like the contrast between the black and the PTI Fresh Snow but with the distressed text, it will make it slightly tricky to send to any of my friends...it seems we're all battling the beginning stages of "wise eyes"....getting old stinks....Did you notice I rounded the lower left hand corner...gives it an interesting shape...

Here's my second card....primarily the same design but I used PTI Hawaiian Shores as the card base...oh la la love that color! I inked up the brocade image with my PTI Hawaiian Shores cube {I'll be going to full size pad on my next PTI order} and decided to go with the Charcoal chalk for the quote...I like the contrast of the black on the gorgeous Hawaiian Shores and then at the last minute decided to bling it up with a strip of Kaiser black bling...

Next up....the DeNami Sketch Challenge:

I hadn't inked up my DeNami Espresso Stamp Set and thought it would be perfect for the sketch challenge. The image size is great for inchies!!!

I happened to have some of The Cutting Cafe Coffee Background leftover so it was perfect to team up with the DeNami challenge.

Did you notice the pink stitching?! I colored the images with copics...filled in the sides of the inchies with dark brown copic ink and then distressed the edges with Chestnut Roan chalk to even everything out. I love the punches of colors....the raspberry button is from the DeNami Tutti Fruitti button bag and the other is PTI Aqua Mist. The sentiment is ala A Muse....and quite frankly is my motto in life {says that girl that easily downs 6 cups of coffee before work}...

♥♥RAK Alert♥♥

Over the next couple of days I'll be sharing some happy mail that I've received...gotta love Happy Mail!!!

Check out what I received from the very fabbie Gina of Tyggereye Art:

This girl is MULTI-TALENTED....not only does she make gorgeous cards like this Yummy Sushi number....the girl carves her own stamps too:

I'm the proud owner of this Gina original stamp...I won it from her blog candy drawng, pretty coolio, huh? Well, that's not all peeps....she also designs her own digi-kits:

Woot Woot...whatta surprise when she sent this along too...I'm one lucky duck....thanks sooo much Gina....you're thee best!!!! You'll be seeing some sushi goodness from me...I'm planning on doing a theme gift for my brother's upcoming birthday....

Okay, thanks for hanging out with me....I appreciate you stoppin' by...happy friday...I'll be back tomorrow:)
