Time for a Spa Day!

Could you use a spa day?

Stamps: Fresh Brewed Designs (some things are better rich)

Papers: SU! cs, K&Co design paper

Ink: Copic markers

Other Zva Creative bling, Nesties, 

SU! slit punch (for scallop border)

piercing tool (for faux stitching)

oh, I would love a day of pampering!!   Wanna come over for a spa day??

Here are a few homemade recipes to try for your next spa day!

Oatmeal Face Cleanser

3 tablespoons oatmeal
2 teaspoons witch hazel
And a few drops of water


You want to dampen the oatmeal first then add the witch hazel. 
Then add the water to make it moist. 
Apply to your face with an upward and outward circuler motion. 
Rinse with lots of warm water. 


This recipe is good for all types of skin. 
If you have dry skin add a little oil. 
You can also add a mashed bannana for more nourishment.

After your face is clean, try this creamy facial mask for soft skin; refreshing!

Yogurt Cucumber Parsley Facial Mask

1 Tbsp. plain yogurt

1 Tbsp. cucumber

1 Tbsp. parsley

Puree the cucumber and parsley finely and mix with the yogurt until smooth.
Cover your face with this creamy mask.
Leave the mask on for approximately 15-20 minutes for best results.
Rinse with water.

So happy the seasons are finally changing, it was like summer yesterday, so beautiful!   We're in a new season at our house too.  With a recent birthday, I now have FOUR TEENAGERS in the house!  Unbelievable!!!!  ...especially since I'm so young!  hehe   I have so much fun with them though, they're a great bunch of kids!

Digital Tuesday - Tropical Warmth

Happy Tuesday!

I'm learning to surf!!!

The Digital Tuesday challenge this week is tropical warmth...which some of you need right now if you're buried under snow drifts!

I knew I wanted to use this lovely digital beach image from Fresh Brewed Designs and then I saw the TLC sentiment, well...a card was born!

I saw a tutorial on coloring a beachy scene and wanted to try it.  I obviously need more practice! eek!!!  But I'll get there!  lol   What really upsets me is I forgot to jot down where I saw this tutorial....it was just recent, so if anyone knows please let me know!!!  I thinks it's VERY important to give credit where credit is due!!!

We had a somewhat harsh weekend, so glad it's over, but it ended well with the football playoffs!  So happy the Steelers are playing the Jets and not the Patriots!  lol   Though it was really hard to see New England defeated!  This next weekend promises to be better...we have a wonderful birthday to celebrate and hopefully see the Steelers going to the Superbowl!
