Carly has been kind of freaking out about the bubbles in the bath after I wash her hair. She's afraid of them for some reason. After she got in the bath tonight, I had to drain the water because she saw something, probably a cotton from her socks, floating in her bath water. She stood up and pointed to it and said, "BEES!"
Anything that floats in water is called bees, just like most fruit and vegetables are called apples. Tina and I think the bees in the water thing might go back to our time at the pool last summer when I would splash the bees out of the pool. Some bees were dead and some still alive. I hate seeing the bees drown, but we have to be careful not to step on them when we're out of the pool. Anyway, Tina thinks its possible Carly remembers that. So, after I drained the water Carly was happy, until I washed her hair and she noticed the bubbles in the water. Bubbles have made her uncomfortable before, but she had to get out of the water tonight as she pointed to the bubbles she now refers to as bees. Hmm..She even knows what bubbles are and how to blow bubbles, so I'm surprised she's calling them bees now and is afraid. Maybe she was just tired. Her closet doors were open a little tonight and she got all freaked out and held me while she looked at those scary open closet doors in her room. Its amazing how much she's starting to notice now. We went to Legoland today and she had a terrific time...the BEST! Although, we went on the Fairy Tale boat ride and the lego wolf and giant freaked her out. She LOVED being whipped around in the planes however! Those weren't scary! Those were FUN!
