After seeing an awesome doctor related to my vertigo and dizziness. He begged me to go on low-sodium diet and I did for two months - I have not get one episode vertigo since I started low-sodium diet. (weird spell (feeling hot) and lightheaded still there from time to time - when the room is hot or not enough air around the room - 'small space with no windows'. I feel like I'm about to faint. I had to run outside or open space air to breathe!!! He suggested me to see primary or ob gyn doctor to test for possible early menopause to see if its symptoms or not. That is the next step and I don't want to know that I'm might be going through early menopause - NOOOOO!!!!
Back to vertigo part - Took test again last month (VEMP and ENG). It showed normal - no change so it might not from CI itself but.. .might be post traumatic surgery related that is rare kind for CI patient. Why me?
Positive side on low-sodium diet - I've lost 50 lbs!! 50 freaking pound off!!! I can't wait to lose more..... and ready for cruise next year with my precious family and my mom.
After seeing doctor, went to audiology dept to see my audiologist - M.D, she is awesome with a good heart. She wanted to make sure that I'm making the right decision as I was so nervous and afraid to turn it on. We went through testing to make sure all electrode working ... good news - all works! then re-programmer on my CI processor. To my surprise, it went good! So, I'm wearing CI from time to time and hopefully stick to it... ;) I should because I love to listen Christmas music - I don't care about the words! I love the sounds.
