Today, right before dinner Carly just decided it was time to walk to her destinations. She totally went for it and walked and walked. She walked past Tina and kept on going. She actually fell once but got right back up and walked again. Its a little freaky since we have tile, but I think she's cautious... I can't believe she's WALKING! She looks a bit like a drunken sailor..ha! :) Its so cute.
Tina and I have had her walk back and forth to both of us about six steps each way. That was a fun game, but she's way passed that today!
We had another fun weekend. We took our cool bike ride to the coast, ate a delicious lunch and stopped off at the park on the way home. I think the whole ride is about 12 miles..with a lot of hills on the way home. We actually have to get off our bikes and walk them up this one steep hill, but other than that the hills aren't as bad as you think they are going to be. :)
Today we had a swim lesson with my mom...and my mom was pushing Carly down deep into the water and she would swim back to the top to take a breath! It was impressive!!! The water was a little cold today unfortunately, but it was okay with our wetsuits. We are wusses. It was about 84, but we prefer 88.
And...I know I am a broken record that we should be saving our money and trying to pay off some of our debt, but I have wanted to get a new couch for three years and the couch I've been totally eyeballing went on sale...and Tina said I could get them!!! So, they will be delivered on the 25th!!! They are leather, which is perfect, because we can just wipe them off and they are clean again. I also bought this protection plan that if they get a stain, pen mark, paw mark or rip, they will replace them. It was only $200 more and it covers all three items... YES! I got two matching chairs too! YEAH!! I did a mock up of what it could look like in our living room, but the colors aren't exactly right, since the light was different in the store with grey walls. It would be cool if we could sell our old couch on craigs.list. Anyway, I'm so excited. Its going to be so nice. I can't wait. We're also in the process of moving our tv so it fits over the fire place. We were all set to go and realized that we need to move the cable cord. :) Opps. Airheads! So, we're going to hire a handyman to help us fix some things. Its going to be so cool!
One more week and I have seven weeks off. WOOHOO!!!
