I didn't miss my children, not ONCE. J tried to get me all involved with a tiny little one at the airport and I said..."STOP" ! I pretended to be asleep and she would put her finger up to her lips and tell J, "ssshhh, she sweepin"
Did I tell you about the first class seats. OH MAN AM I SPOILED. No security line. No check in line. you just walk up and there you are. Seat. blanket. pillow. wine. food. (no warm nuts though. Damn Delta)
The river walk is gorgeous. For those of you who haven't seen it....here are a few pictures.
It was supposed to be hot and with the added humidity I was expecting to melt. It wasn't bad AT ALL. It was nice. It is mostly shaded on the river walk and there was PLENTY of ice-cream for the times there wasn't :)
We stayed at the Marriott right on the river walk. It was so convenient to everything from dinner, to shopping, to the Alamo.
We even went out. The bonham exchange. Great mix. Problem is, the damn straight people are taking over. :) kidding kidding. Well not about them taking over...but about them being damned to hell for it.
We lasted maybe 2 songs and then went back to the hotel. GAWD are we old.
The weekend was great. It was PERFECT. We were absolutely satisfied and happy to stay or come home.
The kids did great and I just wanted to THANK everyone for making it possible. It honestly takes a village.
whaa ? do these pants make my butt look big ?
You know....cuz I'm famous.
The Alamo, heading across the street for ice-cream

This lady was getting it on with all of the "dancers". She was hilarious. They pretty much just stood up there and flapped their business to the audience, no dancing really. Some had it to flap. Some did not. (unfortunately the only one we could nickname flap or maybe nose of the elephant was behind both of the guys we would call button top when we took the picture) :)
