Queensday 2009

What started as a great day today ended in a tragedie. Today was Queensday in the Netherlands thats when we celebrate our Queen and her fam. The whole country is dressed in orange (that is our national color), al the towns and villages organize games and all kinds of fun activities during the whole day! And every year the royal fam. visits a different town! It realy is a fun day you spend with fam. and friends!!
But today when our Queen was visiting Apeldoorn a man drove his car with high speed through the crowd and there a 15 people injured, 5 very badly (3 of them are kids) and 5 people died. The man who drove the car is badly injured as well. They think he wanted to atteck the Royal fam. but they don't know why or what.
It makes me wonder in what kind of world we are living and in what kind of world my kids has to grow up and it makes me very sad.
