On a different topic, Tina and I were talking about the new house and the blinds we're getting etc and the subject of the appliances came up. The ones in the house are brand new, but the oven has coils and if we have to have an electric we would prefer to have cook top instead that's flat. The appliances are also pure black and our refrigerator is stainless, so Tina brilliantly thought, "Hey I wonder where they bought them? Maybe we can return them and get the ones we want!" And that's what we're going to do! The agent told us they got them from Lowe.s and we called the store and since the dishwasher and range were purchased on the 5th of March they are going to let us exchange them! YIPEE! We're so excited! Now our kitchen is going to look SO much better. Another thing we'd love to do is have the cabinets painted white. It would really freshen the place up. My step dad is totally down on the idea and thinks it will ruin the cabinets and look bad. He was a contractor for years, but my question is then how come everyone does it and it looks great? Its really pricey to get them done professionally. I wonder if it really makes such a difference if we hire it out and have them take the cabinets down, take them apart and spray them for 1000 bucks...then if we just paint them ourselves. My friends did it themselves with paint brushes and left them up and they look great! What to do... The blinds are going to look AWESOME. Here's a picture of the cabinets. We want to take the ones down over the breakfast bar and put nice lights up. Seriously we need to lose that big oak 80s light fixture on the ceiling.
Oh, yeah. The house still has to get through escrow and I can't be on maternity leave when it closes. Their new prediction is the house should close on April 23 when Carly is due on the 25th! Could this get any closer? I'm READY TO HAVE HER NOW! I feel like I can't wait three more weeks. My friend from work told me today over cake that her first baby was TWO WEEKS over due. She said it was the worst thing in the world. She was beyond ready. I can't even imagine that.
One more thing! Look at what my friend posted on Fac.eboo.k. Its a picture she took when we were in high school! I don't even remember this evening. I'm assuming it was her birthday. I am on the far left on my gay best friend's back. I had no idea I was gay then, but I knew he was! So funny. I must have been 16. I didn't have my first experience with a woman until I was 21. :)
