Here's the latest picture of Carly! She looks SO cute in this picture! Like baby Huey! She opened her mouth right when the ultrasound tech took the picture! ADORABLE! I think that's her foot by her face. Tina and I waited for another 30 minutes after the ultrasound to see the doctor for the results. This time we got a doctor with a very strong English accent. I guess the ultrasound tech told him that the last doctor we saw three weeks ago freaked us out. So, he started off by apologizing about his colleague and said that he was not at all excited about the ultrasound. Tina and I thought to ourselves, "Excited, bad or good?" Then he carried on discussing the protein levels from the blood test we took a few weeks back and said the baby was normal. He reiterated that, "There's nothing about your ultrasound to be excited about.." That's when we realized that by not being excited he meant that he was not worried. I asked him if I had placenta abruption and he said yes, but they don't refer to it as a placenta abruption until after 24 weeks. Before 24 weeks its called a possible miscarriage instead. He said that it looks like the subchronic haematoma is either going to dissolve back into the placenta or it will come out. Either way it's healing. If I have fresh bright red bleeding, then that's as problem. He didn't think we would have to worry about that anymore though, because the subchronic haematoma hasn't gotten any bigger and the baby has been growing right on track! THANK YOU GOD!
It felt sooo good going to work today. I hardly slept a wink because I wanted to make sure I got up and adam when the alarm went off. Everyone was so nice at work, welcoming me back. I was so excited to see the kids. The weird thing was my sub showed up. He told me that the subline didn't cancel him until 5:45 this morning. i realize that's late notice, but school doesn't start until 7:30am. I couldn't figure out why he came by. He told me how bad it was subbing for me and then he gave me his card to call him if I ever need him again. Yeah, right! Like I would subject the kids to him again. I don't think so!
Another art teacher who shares her room with me 5th period dropped something off for me while I was away while he was taking attendance and she actually heard him say, "Who the hell is _______?" My poor kids is all I have to say. They appreciate me more than ever now. hee hee!
