Paper Piecing and distressing...what could be better...all loaded up on a Tim Holtz/PTI tag:)  I used a Stickerz sentiment and topped off the tag with some ribbon from my fab friend Sherry, and a PTI button.

cameo tag...

Hello!  Sunday...already?!

Here's a mondo tag for you....the tag base is PTI kraft that I used the Tim Holz Tag on...which is 3 1/8 x 6 1/4...I layered the PTI Sweet Symphony on there...

Do you see it?!   A Cameo from the NEW EAD Designs Cameo Frames Rub On Set!  Isn't it delish in Teal? 

Although you can't see it, there is a strip of SU twill underneath the Cameo and then I used some fabbie wrinkle ribbon from Sherry!  Topped it off with a PTI button and some misc twine....the top of the tag has been adorned with a smidge of a gorgeous doily that I received from Brenda Weaver...I added some Chocolate Delight pearls by Queen & Co.

I have to admit that I was going to make a set of tags but man, this one took long enough:)

happy pink birthday..

Birthday's...you gotta love them, right?  Actually I DO love birthday's....this is a card that I made especially for Darin's sister...she loves the color pink:

Don't know why I had such a hard time taking a pic of this one but bear with me.  I used Echo Park's Be Mine for this card.  The base is 6x6...The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a Teresa Collins stamp set.  I topped off the card with PTI buttons, Kaisercraft bling and a ZVA flourish for the little Martha butterfly.

I've been meaning to do a fun non-peep layout:

Here's a little back ground on this layout...if you know me...you know that I LOVE coffee...unfortunately I love it too much...on the weekends, it isn't unusual for me to drink um, 10 cups...okay, okay...more on that on another day....Last week I happened to pop into a Seattle's Best Coffee shop...the cup had the words....half full...printed on it...LOVE that....so a layout was born...

 Do you notice that most of my layouts are sassafras?  I just love their use of color and images...

I wanted to create little vignettes...there is lots of layering...the Just Ducky square is actually 2 different layers...the duck panel has been fussy cut and layered onto a floral piece.  The monogram A has been fussy cut and I knew I wanted to add the Hero Arts silhouette image...

Guess what?  I FOUND my Tim Holtz Rosette die...I had told some of my bloggie friends that I bought the Rosette die and promptly put it somewhere 'really special'...well, over the weekend, I was digging around in my Die box and BAM...there it was...right where it was suppose to be?!!!!  You'll be seeing these puppies...alot...good grief, that makes rosettes soooo easy!  The star paper and the green bloom are Sassafras..I layered a smidge of pale yellow wool Impress felt inbetween those 2 layers...

Do you see it?  I did random green stitching on some of the 'rays'...perhaps if you squint, you might see it:)  I've been loving that vintage green thread {green IS my favorite color}...

I knew that when I saw this sketch by The Studio Challenge...I had to play along:

Really, it was Valerie that inspired me...LOVE her work!  

The little challenge that went along with the sketch was to incorporate a handmade embellie...that's my Rosette...that counts, doesn't it?  I did have to fold it up myself:)

just a note...

Happy Friday!!!

Today is a good day for many reasons...one is obvious...it is FRIDAY and the other is that the girls and I are getting together to celebrate a birthday...I think I'm going to get a pedi after work {love/hate thing with that since the bottoms of my feet are soooo ticklish}...then we're going to have Indian food....yuuuummm....

Okay, onto some craftiness....I've had this Tim birdcage on my work top for some time now...I cut it out for a different project and it wasn't hittin' me so it's just been kind of hanging out ever since....I've been really using the ole Gmund paper these days...I recently picked up the white variation but haven't ripped into it yet...gotta love those SRM stickers!!!

Next up...another layout:) I was intrigued by the challenge over at These Are a Few of My Favorite Things....favorite toys. Hey, I play/run with scissors and thought of doing something with a crafty angle but decided to branch out:

I had a pic of my netbook too but decided to keep it to the 2 pics....I constantly surround myself with my technology...being with a Tech Geek just helps enable all that:)


I'm going to take off my hoarding crown for a smidge...why yes, those are PTI buttons...all the paper is Sassafras {hmm...do you see a trend in that?!}...the tag {thanks Ivy!} is stamped with a Unity image and yes, I journaled..I embellished the tag with a Sassy fabric brad and some more PTI buttons..I do believe that it is the 1st time I've used those Basic Grey alpha stickers...LOL...I have tons of them...I just tend to gravitate towards my thickers..

my happy place...or at least one of them...

I'm having problems with Blogger...specifically uploading pictures...sigh...I was finally able to get this one to load but will have to try posting my other picture {a BRAK} tomorrow...

We are having Fall like weather here and I'm absolutely lovin' it...although tonite it took me 2 hours to make 2 cards...I was having a hard time making things mesh....

The very lovely chandelier image is ala Tim Holtz {hubba hubba...always have to add that after his name...}. I picked it up at Impress...

I started designing my card with this decor8 chandelier photo in mind..I was excited to finally use my Adirondack Snow Cap on Stampin' Up's Basic Gray...hmmm...It wasn't as crisp as I wanted...perhaps it is the image, since it is so detailed?

I ended up using my favorite VersaFine Onyx Black...that stuff rocks. The card is a 4.25 inch square.

A girl can never have too many chandelier images...my next one will be the new Stampin' up Grand Soiree set!
