Saturday Finds!

Ah, it is good to be back passing along linkies and all their goodness!!!

Let me start with something that actually caught my by surprise on Friday...Miss Beth Perry left me a comment on yesterday's mayafras card to let me know about it...btw, Beth rocks....she's amazingly talented and the sista loves chandeliers...what more could you want in a bloggy friend? LOL Anywho's....check out my "woot woot!" .

This post on We Will Always Have Paris really struck me. I started out as a scrapbooker but during my whole blogging adventure I have yet to create a scrapbook page...The other day on crop chocolate they had 2 making memories scrapbooks..the pre-designed kind...I know, I know...for you scrapbookers, you are probably cringing...but I thought that might be a good way to get started. I really want to start scrapbooking the kids' pics...

Design*Sponge is a fab site that I always love...check out their spotlight on Sunset's Little Green Book.

These might actually make cleaning fun....okay maybe not but they are fab looking...

The Small Object Steno Pad had pics of some great lookin' ribbon storage...do you think I could pay my kids to do it for me like sorting my buttons? It is soooo pretty stored like that....mine are all jumbled in humungous ziplock bags by color...it is really a mess.

Saturday Finds!

Here is my photo for Project 365 (Project 52 for me). This is what started this crazy journey of mine...Stampin' Up. I assure you that my SU Demo {Hi J!} probably had no idea that my first party with her would take me down this insane ultra-fulfilling journey {thanks J!}. I definitely have more Stampin' Up sets than anything else in my collection but I've also noticed that I've started to collect other companies too....A Muse {that's my 2nd largest collection}...CHF....Hero Arts...Odd Bird Planet {OBP? No you really haven't seen anything from me yet BUT I scored on a sweet set over on SCS b/s/t and hit OBP's Chinese New Year Sale...gnomes and owls my friends...gnomes and owls}.

Okay, on to my links:

I {heart} this Food for Thought on Maria Grace's blog Momentary Bliss.

I don't know what it is but my fingers are ALWAYS cold...especially at work. My office is at a balmy 78 degrees {or at least that is what the thermostat says} and I'm still layering on the sweaters...it's an attempt to get my fingers warm. Okay so SWEET things won't necessarily help in that department but aren't they FABulous? I spotted them on the Design Mom blog...

Saturday Finds!

Here is my photo for the Project 365 {my version is Project 52}. I had taken a picture of my beloved {scratched up} Starbucks mug on my kitchen counter but quite frankly, I hate my tile counter tops so I brought it over to my fancy smancy photo studio and did the photo shoot there {you would LOL if you saw this "fancy smancy photo studio"}. Bona shares my love of coffee and Starbucks mugs so I know that she'll appreciate this photo...

Okay, on to some goodies:

Check out the PERFECT-o blog candy that I won over at Stampin' Treats!!! I won it when Laura's daughter Alison was the guest hostess of her blog! See that super sweet cupcake card??!!! That is one of the cutie Moo Cards....I'm going to order some...check out Laura's stash of Moo Cards...now my decision...to do them with my blog header graphic or do the fun assortment like Alison did for Laura....I'm thinking fun...whaddya think?

Hmmm....I hate to end on a sad note but thought I'd pass this along in the event you hadn't heard. I started my creative journey with scrapbooking {I've obviously made the jump to cardmaking..love the instant gratification}. Well, actually I had always dabbled in card making etc but really started this addiction, for a lack of a better word, when my son was in preschool. I volunteered to be the scrapbook coordinator...lol...I had never scrapbooked. Anyways, I always loved the magazine Simple Scrapbooks and was truly sad when I read this on Wendy Smedley's blog. Let's face it, we all receive tons of inspiration from various blogs and other Internet sources. I don't know about you but I'm hoping that the Internet won't replace my subscriptions. Those of you that have been following my blogging journey know how much I love to blurf {too much...that's how much I blurf..lol} but I haven't given up on my subs..

saturday finds!

I've been reading a lot about the Project 365 and see that a ton of my favorite blogs are participating...I know that I wouldn't be able to commit to taking part on a daily basis but thought that I'd try to do it once a week. I have 2 really fabulous friends {hi j & p!} that started their massive Fiesta ware collection way before me....I've always loved the bright fun colors so I eventually made the jump. A couple weeks ago my fabulous cousin Satomi of Japanese Handmade Etc, opened up my cupboard and called it eye candy :)

Yesterday I made a special trip to pick up something from Ellen Hutson. Ellen couldn't be any nicer...I chatted with her and she showed me some gorgeous cards...I could have stayed there all afternoon but I had other errands...on top of stopping into my work to get a little bit done.

Mrs. Claus has been sooo kind to me...this week has been full of UPS packages...I'm going to be tapping into them this weekend so I hope to post a bunch of fresh new projects next week!!!

Saturday Finds!

Okay, how many of you use Google Reader? I just tapped onto the "trends" option and look what I found out about myself:

Okay, how many of you are thinking that I'm a nut'ola for having 512 subscriptions and how many of you are thinking {waving your hand} "That ain't nothin'!"...lol.

Well, I found something interesting via Real Simple. It is a free online website called Evernote.com, you can organize articles and web pages. Real Simple calls it a virtual scrapbook, they have a web clipper to drag things into your online notebook. How fabulous is that? I'm huge on "starring" things via Google Reader {obviously when you read my stats} but it is a pain'ola to try to find the blog entries. Does anyone use this? I'd love to hear your feedback on it!
