I always worried if TV is too loud or not loud enough for our kids.
I always get nervous when I or other people turn Radio on. I don't know if its appropriate for our kids to listen.
I do get nervous when strangers talk to our kids, wondering what they have to say to our kids. Mikaela often asked me - is it ok to talk to him/her? I always asked what did they said. She tells me. Hope that continue when she gets older.Once a while, I do wondering if Mikaela speaks normal as her age peers. I do aware that she do "deaf talk" with me and mama. I often asked my parents, "Is mikaela speaking ok?" My mom said that Mikaela has shown improvement in "speaking". Shown improvement means?? Getting better?? Or now she's speaking as 'normal' kid?
Too many questions come to my mind at once.
I know I'm proud of Mikaela and Kyron for be able to communicate with me and mama and not only that - be able to communicate with hearing people.Mikaela often use sign language in school. I do wonder... Do KODAs use sign language in school when they were young? Will it continue when KODAs get older? Will Kyron do the same?
I don't think its a bad thing. I'm concern about their peers and teachers look at them different. I want them to grow up where they can feel they are normal.
I know they will face some issues as they are KODAs and have TWO mommies.
