tweet!

Happy Monday!!!

How are you doing for a Monday? I was able to spend several glorious {use your most sarcastic tone} hours cleaning my crafty space....more on that in a smidge...

Onto some craftiness...

Ahhhh.....why yes that is MME, again:) Do you notice something a bit different? That sweet butter colored crochet bloom is ala Alice {thanks sista!! patting myself on my back for not hoarding}.

My inspiration is the latest OCC sketch:

Some of you might remember me saying that I've been in a long process of dehoarding...I was essentially spending several hours picking out things that I wanted to sell, not cleaning or organizing at all. Well, for some reason I decided to start cleaning and organizing while still dehoarding...translation...pure madness....I only share these pics because so many of you have done the same...opened your home to the blogging world to catch a glimpse of where you work...I should insert here that this is when the cleaning process had ALREADY started...I always make a bigger mess when I clean...{WHY is that??!!}

Why yes, that is my work top...I managed to huck a bunch of 'schtuff' on it during my cleaning process...trying to figure out if it was a keep/toss/donate or sell item....LOL...yes, that is a beanie baby bear {sherry spotted her}....she has a Canadian flag on her {woot woot!}.

Something I discovered...these punches can stand up...hahaha...{smacking my forehead!}...

Yup, I have all of these marvy punches too...no nesties...yet...feel guilty going to another system when I've already dropped a bundle on the marvies:)

Here you go...several hours later...sheesh, there IS a work top underneath all that schtuff!

The floor is clean! Okay, so I may have shoved some other things out of the picture..muwahahaha...but I seriously got a bunch of stuff done....I decided to liquidate all my 48+ SU pads...a ton of embellies...like a ton of stuff...oy....I have the opportunity to do 2 garage sales over the next couple of months so I hope to move a majority of my stuff then. The last couple weeks I've felt like the USPS office has been my 2nd home...not complaining since I have been able to sell a bunch of stuff of my blog and SCS but it IS time consuming considering that I work full time/ have 2 kids and good grief, I'm a paper crafting blogger...enough said:)

I finally put that paper sorter together that is on my desk {this last pic was taken a couple hours after the one above}...oh man, I love it...all my other pieces are Store-in-Style...they cost way more but I like the generic brand better {it's what Target carries but I bought mine at my local craft shop}...way easier to put together and NO glue...So there you go...my crafty area...okay, one part of it...I'll show my other areas later....but basically a glorified hallway.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed a partial tour of my area:) I totally wasn't expecting to show you pics but since it basically took most of my weekend, I wanted to blog it for my own sake:)

Howdy and organized chaos!

Happy Friday!!!

I've been waiting for Friday...the last couple weeks have been way too busy. I'm exhausted, no other word for it, exhausted.

Last night was my son's soccer pizza party...tomorrow is his last game of the season...whew! After his soccer game we're headed to a birthday party....not just any birthday party but my nephew's 1st birthday!!! We're doing a western theme...bought him a fun stuffed horse similar to this one. We actually found his at a garage sale...it cracked me up so much that I had to pick it up. I realize that a 1 year old won't be able to ride it BUT his two sisters (4 & 3) will love it. This week I picked up a cowboy hat and bandanna...also added this book {ahhh, we read this to the kids when THEY were younger}. I also had to pick up a tee that says: "My Aunt Rocks!".

I finally cracked open my Cowboy Kid...I bought it from someone {was that you Julie?}...my memory is soo bad. Anyways, I knew that I wanted to do something using that set and came up with this little 4.25 inch square card...LOVING that fabulous striped Stampin' Up ribbon. I knew that I wouldn't have any problems using the stuff since I decided against it for my Christmas cards...it is sooo versatile.

I'm chuckling that I'm actually sharing this picture...this is where it all happens..lol. This is what happens to my workspace when I'm working on projects for my Holiday Gift Fair. At one point, I swiped everything off of the desk top so that I could work on projects...Guess what I'm doing on Sunday? I'm getting organized to start the process all over again. We're planning another Gift Fair in December....I'm getting closer to my iPod Touch :)
