I know...super fun, right?!!

I don't typically photog my cards at this particular angle, but I wanted you to see the smidge of yellow underneath the scallop:)  You would not have been able to see that if I had it 'sitting up'....My kids and I have been on a Strawberry kick for the last couple of weeks....love them...can't get enough of them!

I used the very fun, We've Got Your Sticker Plus-Strawberry Set on my card...how could I resist?  All the paper is from my highly neglected American Crafts pile.  There is some zig zag action with the 'ole stitching:)

Hello...Happy Saturday!

Welcome to another fun Card Patterns sketch and Sponsor!!!

This week we were able to play with Stampin' Up goodies from the wonderful Catherine Pooler, Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator!

I'll let you take a peek at my card and then share the sketch:

All the papers are from Stampin' Up...aren't the colors wonderful together?  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's "Three Little Words" set...personally, I don't think a girl can have too many sentiments!  I did a smidge of sewing but wanted to keep the overall design clean and crisp!

The bloom is something that I received from my bloggie buddie Sherry...she hand made it from muslin..isn't it gorgeous?!

Well, I made it through my first week at work...whew...lots to take in but it is ALL so exciting...I've had some people ask so I thought I'd share that I'm in the Human Resources group for a design firm {interior/graphic/industrial} in Seattle...as you can imagine, it's thrilling to be a part of a creative industry!  Back in the day when I first started community college...I actually started off in an interior design program...oy, I was so young and not so motivated then...I ended up eventually just getting my credits to transfer to the University of Washington where in 2006 {long process...late bloomer...} I ended up with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree with a concentration in Psychology.

I used one of the aprons in the Apron Strings set.  I love aprons...via images and the real thing...funny thing is, I'm not much of a cook/baker:)  Sssssshhhhhh....It's all for show..LOL.  People seem to be surprised when they find out I'm not domestic like that:)

All my paper is ala Melissa Frances' Kitschy Kitchen that I received from the oh-so-super Sherry!  Umm.....used the twill letters in my Card Patterns card last week...didn't intend to use them again but that circle panel was screaming for more embellishing!  The felt bloom and button are ala Making Memories...

Happy Saturday!

Hopefully I'm sleeping in today...yesterday was my last day at my job and last night my girl had a little slumber party..oy.

Today is Card Patterns day!

I wanted to unleash the scrappy side of my creativity...I'm such a fan of a ton of gals that have that style...today's card is filled with so much goodness:

I've been hoarding that gorgeous muslin bloom that my bloggie friend Sherry made....doesn't it look fab with the twill alpha that was also a RAK from my bloggie friend Tami!  All the pattern paper is Basic Grey Curio...love, love, love it!

through the window...

Happy Saturday...which means it is a new Card Patterns Sketch!!!

I rotated it and kept it pretty clean and simple:

The card base is PTI kraft...I think all my cards start with that:)  All the patterned paper is from my friend Sherry...it is Webster's goodness {thanks sista!!!}.  I have to admit that I adore Webster's papers BUT I have a heck of a time slicing through it...I tried to keep the image as intact as possible...I managed to use one sheet since it is double sided...I fussy cut the floral design {which is on dimensionals} to add more interest to the window.  I was thinking of adding a sentiment but didn't want to 'disturb' the scenery...

In honor of Hero Arts being our sponsor, I wanted to showcase the Hero Arts Three Silhouettes set!

I had so much with the sketch...I used MME Union Square papers and highlighted the Three Silhouettes by embossing each of them on their own Nestie Lacey Circle.  The vintage mocha colored prima blooms are topped them off with Queen & Co pearls....The 'merci' letters are T $ spot:)  The stitching is ala vintage thread...

bloom and grow...

Saturday's mean sleeping in and crafting and also the new Card Patterns sketch!!!

This is my take on the sketch...Isn't that CraftBrulee bloom thee best?  All the wonderful layers and the gorgeous pearl center!

I wanted to let the bloom shine so I worked with the very fun Cosmo Pixie'licious papers....I love the lilac and green combo...check out my felt leaves...the wool felt is from Impress that I cut and stitched with vintage blue thread...it's the same color thread that I've used throughout my card...every panel has stitching!  The banner is Lawn Fawn and the sentiment, bloom and grow, is SRM.

You gotta go check out Craftbrulee...sooo filled with fun stuff...The Card Patterns design team had the honor of playing with some Craftbrulee goodies....more on that in a smidge...first check out the FAB Card Patterns Sketch 98!

So many possibilities with the sketch...here's my take on it...

I really wanted the Craftbrulee bloom to shine...it is thee most gorgeous gray....so I knew that I wanted to use some vintage Amy Butler paper....polka dots, who can resist?  My card base is ivory and the Amy Butler panel has been matted with Stampin' Up Basic Gray {love that color!}...I used the same gray as the band and a PTI sentiment.  

Do you see it...the smidge of a bloom that I created?  It is a PTI button with a bling as it's center piece and bling all the way around, a mini blingy bloom:)  I wanted to tie in the bling that cascade down the upper left hand corner...

Lovin' all the gray I used on my card...it is one of my fav clothing colors:)  Gray and ivory...soothing color combo, eh? This card is also for the Moxie Fab World, The Gray is the New Black Challenge!
