warm wishes...

Ahhh...the smell of coffee brewing, isn't it thee best?!!

I finally picked up the Hero Arts "cup of coffee" image last week and couldn't wait to ink it up:

haha...if you didn't know, I'm a huge coffee-a-holic:)

All the patterned paper is Echo Park Paper, the kraft/button are PTI and the sentiment is A Muse...I'm thinking of whipping up several of these in different green patterns for Christmas Cards:)

The scallops were made with my 1 3/8 circle punch..

I was inspired by {a flipped} FTL109:

I'm also playing in the Scrappy Saturday Challenge over at Wee Memories...CAS Card:

This is also for the Caardvarks Clean & Simple Challenge.

I've also been itchin' to enter one of the holiday challenges over on Moxie Fab World so I'm entering this for the:

The Jolly Holiday Greetings Challenge

Whew, multi-tasking at its best....thanks so much for stopping by and I also wanted to share this little article that the fabbie Rose Miller passed along to me because she knows that I dig Starbucks...they actually have some money savings tips in the article!

Unfortunately it seems that Riccola...cold meds...tea & honey are my best friends these past couple of days...grrr...I get over the stomach flu and get hit with my daughter's cold...double grrr...

hello sunshine!

Hello Sunshine...

Sunshine...it's been hot here in Washington..oy...like in the 90's...I don't craft well when it gets so hot:) Luckily the man installed a ceiling fan upstairs that makes a ginormous difference...thanks honey!!!!

I do believe Hello Sunshine is the first Cosmo Cricket line I bought...soo bright & happy, just like I like it!

Check it out...if you haven't heard yet, there is a new stamp company....my bloggie buddie Sparkle has started a new venture, Sparkle Creations!

She is sponsoring Sketch Saturday!!! I'm a newbie to their site but I'm always up for a sketch challenge:

This is also for Caardvarks current challenge which is to design a birthday card...

All the paper is Hello Sunshine, I used a SRM for the sentiment and the triple layer bloom? Oh yeah, that's from my bloggie buddy Li-bee-ti...woot woot...I just stitched on the black PTI button to bring out all the black in the card!!

♥♥blog candy alert♥♥

I wanted to share my Sparkle Happy Mail!

I not only won Sparkle's new stamp, Swimming Lucy, but a Sparkle original card and TONS of goodies...you can bet that I'll be examining how Sparks' colored Lucy...she is a master of coloring:) Thanks sooo much Sparks!!!!!

tweet...

Happy Saturday!!!

Gotta love the weekends...

I have a couple cards to share with you...this is a 3 x 3 inch card...all the pattern paper is October Afternoon. I finally used my highly neglected Stampin' Up Felt Fusion felt flowers...the pearl is from a set that I bought at the Winter CHA...should of bought more of those puppies..

I was inspired by Heidi's sketch for the Caardvarks Challenge:

I used my Schlosser Designs set for the bird.

Have a Tweet Day:

Next up is a Cutting Cafe card...I used the super fun Coffee Bean Background in brown.

That background is fun because it actually comes in 3 different colors:

brown
black
clear

Can you believe that I was inspired by the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger?

Here's what inspired me:

Coffee mugs

the coral/pinkish color

I tried to incorporate a coffee mug but things just weren't falling into place for me...I struggled with it which meant that I needed to go a totally different route...clean & simple. When you think of coffee what do you think of? Seattle...the home of Starbucks:) I popped that coral/pinkish colored butterfly on there to top off the card and give it a punch of color. Whaddya think?

Well, have a super Saturday...I'll be back tomorrow with my 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday Card...we have another fabbie sponsor so you'll want to pop on by...and I gotta tell you, the Sunday sketch challenge team rocks:)

sweet aviary...

Monday already?!!!

I was able to get a bunch of cards done yesterday....I even multi-tasked my challenges!

Today's card was inspired by the Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger:

Caardvarks Photo Inspiration Challenge:

...and Paige's bird challenge over on the Cards Blog...

Here's my final result:

Here's what inspired me:

Tuesday Trigger: Green Gingham, the frame and the colors

Caardvarks: The colors and the bird cages

Cards Blog: bird challenge

I've been seriously hoarding that Melissa Frances frame...like forever...it was a perfect add to the card based on the MFW Tuesday Trigger...this card will need to packaged in a box to go through the USPS..LOL...I dug out the Basic Grey Aviary stamp set...the bird is from the Schlosser Designs "Have a Tweet Day" set that I cut and layered with Martha glue and glitter...

Have a super fabbie Monday...today I'm having lunch with my bloggie pal Elaine...we're having sushi!!! Yes, I am the Japanese girl that doesn't use chopsticks and doesn't eat anything raw...yes, both my parents were born in Japan...my Mom always shakes her head when I ask for a fork at a Japanese restaurant:) So, when I type sushi, I mean cooked stuff for me...tamago nigiri etc...

warm winter wishes...

Happy Monday!

Unfortunately, it is back to the 'ole Salt Mines for me today...I tell you, having a 3-day weekend is sheer bliss...but alas, I have a mortgage to pay....

Today's winter card is brought to you by Cosmo Cricket , A Muse and Caardvarks!

I was inspired by Paige's latest challenge...Snowflakey Winter Cards. I love being able to play with Jolly by Golly...I even stitched it up with pink thread! I teamed it it up with the sweet A Muse winter sentiment...pink, poms and glitter...what could be better?

Yesterday was a great start to my week...

I was thrilled to see my Happy Valentine's Day Girlfriend!! made the Fab 5 over at 2S4Y!

I went to see Sherlock Holmes yesterday...sheesh, the matinee is only $6....it could very well become a Sunday Morning ritual..anywho's I enjoyed the movie, I find Robert Downey Jr. very amusing....have a super week peeps...

Come on back tomorrow when I 'officially' start over on Jacksonbelle's Design Team...you won't want to miss out on all the fun:)

wishing you a joyful christmas...

Caardvarks...another challenge site that I've been behind on....I had to join in on the fun for their latest challenge:

Some of you Target fans might recognize the glitter snowflake..oh wait, aren't we ALL Target fans? Anyways, I picked up a couple bunches of the snowflake ornaments last year at Christmas. The paper and epoxy embellies are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses...sheesh, I love that name...just makes me chuckle. The snowflake epoxy sticker is stacked on top of a button for a little more omph..or is that a little more postage...more on that later.

Check out my latest happy mail...all the way from Croatia!!!!

These have got to be thee most darling fimo buttons...Thanks Jane!!!!

{speaking of Jane, the girl is on FIRE...check her out at Squigglefly!!}

Okay back to the post office convo....why is it that most of my cards are considered parcels...darn embellies...any bumps and bam...up goes the postage...I spent some 'quality' time at the post office on Monday...$15 later and I was on my merry way...sigh. On a postive note, I actually did NOT have to wait in line...wwhhhaaattt???? I know...karma...

Have you popped over to 365 Cards? We're celebrating with Paper Popsicles week!!! I'll be back tomorrow with my Paper Popsicles project...

party time!

Happy Monday!!!

I wanted to play over at Caardvarks...especially since the most magnificent Heidi Van Laar {a fellow Washingtonian!!} put together 3 fabbie sketches!

I picked sketch #2 to work with...fun, fun, fun....The text paper is Jenni Bowlin, the journaling card is Maya Road & the polka dot paper is Jillibean. I found some ZVA Crystals at Scrapgal {that's where I picked up the sweet Maya Road journaling cards too!}. I actually snipped a large flourish in order to fit in it on my card :)

Yahooooo for the spectacular Sherry {thanks again sista!!!} that came to my Pom Pom rescue...check it out...I'm back in business ladies. I've been hoarding them for a smidge but knew I wanted to use them on this particular card...

Do you remember this post about the Cuttlebug? Guess what??

A Ginormous woot woot!!!!

I think it was meant to be...do you know why? Paulina asked me to send her my snail mail....she replied and guess what? She lives in the very same {small} city that I do!!!!
♥♥
shut up♥♥

Such a small world....actually the fabbie Sparkle lives here too!

I know you all appreciate that story...my kids soooo didn't 'get it'...
