This is a photo of my dining room...it should be one of my favorite rooms in my home because quite frankly, it stays the cleanest! LOL! I {heart} my photo wall....I've always had the kids' pictures taken every year to celebrate their birthdays. The dining room table was given to me by my Father after he passed away. I kept it with its original upholstery for years {it was nasty avocado green tattered velvet but it was soooo my Dad, kwim?!}. A couple years ago I took the seat panels to a Seattle shop called Murphy's to have them reupholstered in the Liz Claiborne fabric that I picked up at J's....it is various shades of orange peonies....Anywho's....Murphy's did a spectacular job!!

Here is my second card using my Stampin' Up Top Note die...boy, that thing is really versatile. I'm very pleased that I bought it. My t.o.y card from yesterday looked like it had a mild case of the runaway Janome {lol} so on this one I did just enough stitching to keep down the ribbon. Aha, so you see it....K&Co Twinkle Type...Amy must be de-hoarding :) I really do love Riding Hood Red and Baja Blue together....it actually reminds me of the very fabulous Candice Carpenter's blog, Peacoats & Party Hats. If you haven't popped over to her blog before, you really must...she has a great shop too. That is where I discovered Sassafras.

Oh my goodness...the very spectacular Kim Hughes has tagged me!!!

I {heart} Kim's sense of style...love all her stamps...she basically r*o*c*k*s! You should of heard me gasp this morning when I read her blog...yeah, yeah, yeah, it was a random choice of blogs but still... :)

1. I have a horrid memory. I can never even remember what I had for the dinner.

2. I tend to write notes on my hands to help me remember things (see #1)

3. I have a bad habit of "putting things in a really good spot"...only to forget that spot. (see #1 & #2). See a trend in lack of memory? Odd thing though, some things I'm really good about....Obviously I remember to blog and make cards :)

4. When I was younger, I took piano lessons for 4 or 5 years.

5. I love blurfing and typically get through my google reader every night. If I don't, it "bothers" me.

6. My favorite icecream is coffee oreo even though I typically don't like "bumpy" food.

7. I'm Canadian {eh}.

Tag!! You're it!!

The evening I picked up my B Line Design stamps, one of my friends mentioned that she wanted the smaller image on some tags...viola! I picked up the tags at the Seattle Packaging Specialties store. The FABulous ribbon is from M's $1 bin...I just love it and I am now on the hunt for it since I just have a smidge left....I know that I won't be able to find it in the dollar bin :(

A couple days ago Julia tagged me. Here are my answers:

1. What were you doing 10 years ago?

My memory really stinks but 10 years ago I was chasing an 11 month old boy and a 26 month old girl….working full time and would do only Christmas cards back then…nothing else really crafty.

2. Five things on today's "to do" list.

a. Drop off my son for band

b. make my 1+ hour commute into work

c. pick up my kids and head to my mom’s for dinner

d. give the cats their antibiotics {twice}

e. Maybe go to bed early

3. Snacks I enjoy:

I love popcorn, apples, oranges and tortilla chips

4. Things I would do if I was a millionaire:

Quit my full-time job

volunteer my time for good causes

work part-time job at a stamp shop

travel with my kids.

You're a Hoot!

Here is another card from Julie Ebersole's Kawaii-sian Inspired Greetings over at mycreativeclassroom.com. The card uses the A Muse Nature set that was part of the optional class kit. I added the prima flowers and bling because I didn't have any perfect blue chalk ink :) I love the extra touch of the "fussy cutting" as my SU Demo says {Hi JP!!!} below the flowers.

I was recently tagged by Lisa over at My Little Ink Spot. I am now required to list seven weird/random facts about myself.

1. I mentioned this in yesterday's post but both my parents were born in Japan but I don't "do" raw sushi, wasabi, chopsticks....don't get me wrong, I love most Japanese food!!!

2. I have never had a Snickers Candy Bar...

3. I'm Canadian.

4. I like smooth ice cream...with the exception of ice cream with oreo cookies....coffee oreo...my favorite.

5. I was taught how to swim as an adult but my swimsuit always seems to be at the dry cleaners {LOL}.

6. I'm a goal oriented person...I set them and give myself plenty of time to accomplish them. In addition to learning how to swim, I also graduated from the University of Washington in 2006 {Go Huskies!}.

7. hmm....let's see...just one more...I tend to NOT try new candy/chocolate, why tempt myself? My friend {Hi KRG!} would try to get me to have a Fran's chocolate but I would never cave....Okay, but my other friend {Hi PST...oh sheesh, was it KRG?!} introduced our circle of friends to The Wunderbar. It cracks me up, I just found out that it is now available via Amazon....ah, the power of the internet.

I've Tagged. You are next!

I’ve been tagged by nailgirl24 . I’m amazed that she ran fast and tagged me. Now, I have something to write about!
First, the rules:Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to blog about their seven things and post the rules as well. At the end of your post, choose 7 people to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog! OK, here we go….

Wow, it took me all day to figure out what to say about myself. I don't want to be brag or humilate myself... yikes...

1. Towels-- I have some kind of OCD in how to fold towels. When H does not fold the towels the way I like them to be folded, I would fix the towels the way they should be before putting them away.

2. I'm a die hard New York Yankees fan! H & her dad and I are big rivals because they support Mariners and My team is always beating their team!! YahoooWhooo

3. I would love to have 10 kids but that wont happen! H has no swimmers

4. I always dreamed to be a physical therapist working with children who are sick staying in the hospital like St. Judes.

5. I graduated from Oregon State University- I was the only deaf student in my graduate program. They never had any deaf students so it was good experience for them having me there! hahaha

6. I'm a huge Kokopelli collector--My kitchen is decorated with kokopelli and continues to be growing...thanks to h's parents who go down to califorina and arizona to mail out some kokopelli items to add to our kitchen. Kokopelli is a symbol that I cherish after having 2 children! :)

7. I used to draw pictures of naked couples or individuals as a hobby (been ages since I ve done this)
