Personally, when I think of what Jesus did on the cross, that he loved me that much, enough to sacrifice his life to give me a life of victory...leading me to triumph in every situation...I can easily live each day for Him!!

Doodle Pantry new release & challenge (DPDC7)

Today is new release day @ Doodle Pantry.   I used images from two different new sets and made an easel card.  Haven't made one in ages but thought it to be a nice design for placing on a desk or table.

Digital Tuesday - Shades of Gray

Happy Tuesday!    and Happy February! 

It's a gray day...literally, here in PA and @ Digital Tuesday!  Our lovely hostess this week, Sharon, has challenged us to use shades of gray and one accent color!

I chose med gray, lt gray & rust...

It makes my heart happy when I can use scripture on my cards.  Laurie has created a series of  lovely Holy Land flower sets with accompanying scriptures, such a this mustard flower with the mustard seed verse.  See all the sets HERE!

It's a bright sunny Sunday here in PA, though the temps are dropping as I type and snow storms are in the forecast for this coming week!  yay!   Can't believe we made it through January with hardly any snow...but with the end of this month, comes the end of that dreaded year end paperwork.  We are finally finished with it!  It has kept me away from my beloved computer & all of you far too long!  Looking forward to getting back into my crafting & blogging routine.

A Vintage Christmas

Happy Wednesday!

We're not in Kansas anymore Toto!   Though I'm a bit surprised we're still in PA, it's sooooo windy here!  Brrr!  The house is creaking from the wind and we have two woodstoves burning!!!   We don't need to go anywhere until later this evening so I'm hoping to start cookie baking today!

I have most of my DT work done for Decemeber and posts scheduled so I decided to have a little play and this is what came of it!   The doily & seam binding ribbon are lilac not periwinkle blue but my camera would not pick up on that...even with editing!

I was going for a 'royal' look with the purple, symbolizing the newborn King!   The true meaning of this blessed holiday!  I will be posting fun Christmas cards yet, but my heart is for Christmas cards that truly honor the birth of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!

Keeping with the vintage look, I used vintage paper from an old book, vintage sheet music (scaled down) and an old button from my grandma's button jar!  I really had fun with this one!
