Okay, this post is chock full of goodness...so grab a cup of coffee and sit for a while:)

Have you noticed that there are a TON of things going on in bloggie land?  Each of my cards kind of touches on some recent events...

First up is a Sassy card...Sassafras goodies...

The paper is Indie Girl, I have used some In a Stitch blooms...some flag banners....Sweet Treats...the base is PTI kraft...sentiment by EAD Designs, Saying Hello Sentiments...bittersweet card...it is for a combo of sites

First up is....Torendi....

Ahhhhh....Torendi....I have had the joy of working with Jenn as a part of her Design Team...today is the last day Torendi will be in business...see this blog post.....Do you remember that last year I was Torendi's Guest CHA Employee?  Craftily speaking...it is one of my fondest memories...my first CHA and it was fantabulous....absolutely indescribable...overwhelming...tiring...perfect. 

I have so enjoyed my time as part of the Torendi Design Team and want to give a big shout out to Jenn, Tiff & Courtney...you gals rock!

My card was inspired by Laura's farewell sketch over at 2S4Y:

I 'literally' gasped when I read that Laura and Kazan decided to say farewell...wow, I've been such a huge fan...a true highlight of my week to see what the sketches looked like, what the designers did with those fabbie sketches and to see the unveiling of the COTW and Fab 5...Best wishes to you ladies...you've definitely impacted the bloggie world with all the inspiration that 2S4Y has slung out there....

Up next is another bittersweet card... 

It really only seemed appropriate to dehoard the Homespun Chic line for this particular card...the blogging community has been supporting a fellow paper crafter, Katie Renz.  Craft Critique has started a Katie Renz Fund to help Katie battle Stage 4 Gastric Cancer. 

I cannot begin to imagine what Katie is going through...I follow her blog posts and I have to tell you, it gets me...I feel so much emotion for Katie...her writing style is wonderful and I feel like I know her...kwim?

So, this is the card I'm sending to Katie, the brave chick...all the paper is Homespun Chic...see the sweet red blingy hearts?  It's a way for her to know that I have her in my heart...sending her good ju-ju...strength....courage...

Saturday....Yesterday was a big day in the household...my girl now has braces....she's been a trooper and not complaining too much...

I've been enjoying making Card Tags...a mega tag:)

 

**sigh**  I have so much Christmas paper....I'm hoping to make a huge dent in my stash within the next couple of weeks...Gotta love Basic Grey's Jovial....Added some lace and an A Muse sentiment...

I was inspired by Kazan's Sketch 67:

Check it out....a non-holiday card!  I'm getting together with a bunch of gals tomorrow and I made this for the hostess with the mostess...I have to say it was one of my more labor intensive cards and no stitching?!   There is a ton of Copic coloring...

The music note paper, green polka dots and yellow paper are all Dear Lizzie, the blue base is PTI Hawaiian Shores, the polka dots are CHF and the Cuckoo Clock is of course, Hero Arts...my friend is a HUGE blue fan & collects whimsical cuckoo clocks....this card just screams her name....

Here's my Echo Park Paper Self-Challenge Card #4:

It's a truly clean and simple card...the die cut and green strip are from the Echo Park Merry Christmas line {the winter wonderland is on glue dots}....I topped off the card with some fun zig zags..

I'm slightly behind on my December Daily BUT I'm not going to stress about it...next year I might try doing Tim's Tags...

Day 2:  Starbucks 'tis the season'....I love Starbucks during Christmas...I'm such a Starbucks-a-holic and love all their giftie items....When I took the pic of the coffee bags I heard the boy call me a tourist and walk away....grrr....All the paper/embellies are from the Making Memories Noel line...did you see that I was able to sneak in a fun coffee cup from one of my many thickers sets?  I may tweek this layout later and add a starbucks coffee sleeve...

I decided to join our 365 Cards Saturday Gal, Heidi,  in her challenge...the recipe from all the bits for the 365 Cards Vintage Week!  It's a regular Martha Stewart recipe...meaning alot of ingredients:)

Here's my card:

I have to be honest, the dimensional sticker threw me....but I found a fun crown sticker in my stash that I went ahead and distressed with Memento Rich Cocoa...the edges of the floral base have been distressed using my Heidi Swapp distresser {brownie points for both types of distressing?!}...you can't tell by the pic but the diecut has piercing along the edge...Here's a close up shot:

There are 3 prizes to be won this week, and there are 3 different ways to win.  The first is the usual way - just participate in the challenges and earn up to 7 changes to win the random drawing.  The second is to leave comments on each of the designer's blogs on their blog hop posts (but read carefully, you may have to answer a specific question to qualify).  The third is to participate in the Card Recipe challenge!

This is a multi-tasking card because I'm linking it to some other challenges out there in bloggie land...the first for Yvonne Yam's Guest Blogger's challenge by Julie Tucker-Wolek.  The challenge is to make a card with new and old stuff...The new stuff is all the G45 goodies that the fab Gloria Stengal shared with the 365 Cards Design Team {woot woot Gloria} and the old is that dimensional sticker... 

The next challenge is ala These Are a Few of my Favorite Things Challenge blog , Julie Tucker-Wolek is the hostess with the mostess!  There are a couple gals in need of thank you cards so the challenge is to make a fall colored thank you card...I decided to make one for Dolores {Julie's bloggie friend} who's best friend is fighting breast cancer on a very limited income being a teacher...the gals have asked for Thank You cards to be sent to them to have on hand for the many, many, many people that are assisting them in their time of need.  

Next up is my Mitten Weather Card!

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel peeps...it's almost been a whole month since I challenged myself to design a card with Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather paper/elements.  It all started because of the Cosmo Cricket December Guest Designer Contest...random draw...yadda yadda...BUT I've managed to learn some stuff about myself...I'm a tried and true Cosmo Cricket fan...seriously love their stuff...I've been averaging 2 projects a day on a daily basis since I started this self-challenge...I gotta tell you, if I didn't start the Mitten Weather challenge, I'd be a hurtin' unit for Christmas Cards...haha

A little bit of zig zagging sure does dress up a card:)  I used a bunch of the Mitten Weather stickers on this card...Sweater Weather...gotta love that...I'm such a sweater girl!

Here's a sneak peek of my December Daily pages...

I thought I was being such a smarty pants by using the Making Memories Noel Advent Calendar for my December Daily....using that kit and teaming it up with the Noel 8x8's....plus all the other Noel goodies I have UNTIL I realized that my Advent kit is missing a '1'...grrrr...it is for day '19'....I've sent an email to Making Memories and to the store that I bought the kit from...crossing my fingers I get some type of help...seems silly BUT...come on...it's a kit...I'm into the matchy matchy thing...

I'm working really hard to mix & match my goodies when I use Mitten Weather:

The coffee cup is ala Paper Makeup...Tina made me a fabbie card that 'made' me order the set:)  I pieced the body of the cup with PTI kraft...the swirls are mitten weather and the lid is white {the cup is on pop dots}....I love the cosmo cricket element pieces...great to use as a 'label'....the sentiment fit perfectly:)

Happy Friday!!!

I have a couple cards to share today...first up is this seemingly clean & simple card..

The card base is some wonderfully textured Gmund Savanna cardstock that is 111 lbs of goodness...The damask is not just any damask but A Muse's Shimmer Couture Damask in Robin's Egg...talk about elegant....the shimmer is something that just doesn't show up in the pic but it's gorgeous....the damask panel has been matted with Stampin' Up Basic Gray...used a snippet of a doily...the sentiment is SRM and I glittered up my favorite Schossler Designs bird...

This is a multi-tasking card...I stumbled across Jay Gee's Nook....check out her inspiration challenge:

It's been on my mind since I first spotted it over on Courtney Baker's blog who happens to be the Guest Designer for the challenge!

I managed to combine it with the current EBTKS challenge:

AND this card is for the Moxie Fab World Diggin' on Damask Challenge...gotta love that!

Next up is a Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather project:

I gotta be honest, if you scan through my blog or my flickr, you won't see a whole lotta purples so this is a definite challenge for me BUT I'm always up for a challenge:)  What makes everything better?  BLING!  The ZVA flourishes add such a festive touch, dontcha think?  Did you see the new powerhouse ZVA design team...woot woot girls!!!

I was inspired by Kazan's {happy birthday!!} sketch 65:

....yup, this is another project for the Cosmo Cricket December GDT...project #2!  There's a contest during the month of November to use Mitten Weather...You can enter as many times as you want but the December GDT spot will be random draw.  So I'm going to use up all my Mitten Weather goodness this month to see if I can possibly get picked for the GDT and if not, I'll be lucky to have that many more Christmas cards already done...win-win situation:)
